*For Kattankulathur campus : Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM   

*For Ramapuram, Vadapalani and NCR, Delhi campuses : Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM

*Closing rank is around 70000.

The rank mentioned above is 63909. Hence you might get admitted to SRM.

The rank is quite good in case you are OBC,SC or ST. A general category student is not eligible with the rank mentioned above. Any other category student will get admitted with that rank. You can also consider some other esteem colleges like: VIT, LPU, Amity University, BITS, Assam Don Bosco University, Ahmedabad University,Jaypee University of Information Technology, PES University, Techno Global University, Xavier University, NIIT University, Sikkim Manipal University.

Both colleges SRM and THAPAR are good academic wise. But Placement wise Thapar is good as it has great placement record for ECE. Considering fees then Thapar University has lower fees than SRM. So if you have interest in ECE go to THAPAR UNIVERSITY.

To secure a seat in Computer Science Engineering with this rank in any campus of SRM University be it Chennai, Delhi, Amravati is almost impossible. Because CSE branch in SRM University demands the highest cutoff among all other branches. As per my knowledge the last cutoff rank for CSE in SRM University was around 15000. 

As far is information technology branch is concerned your rank can get you eligible but I am not sure about your seat in any of the SRM campus because this year they were a lot of students who gave SRMJEEE, so cut off rank is expected to be high.

I am not at all demotivating you but, I would advise you to leave SRM and try for other good engineering institutes in India there are plenty available.

It is correct that SRM is not AICTE approved. But it is UGC approved so a university needs either UGC or AICTE  approval. Therefore B. Tech from SRM is valid.

Software Engineering is a unique course at SRM and is quite good. The average salary for SRM is around 4LPA with a few students getting in excess of 7-8 LPA.
