The Science of Beer course has been developed by edX in collaboration with Wageningen University & Research for curious learners who are interested in learning about more than just the taste of beer.
Participants will understand everything related to beer, including how beer is made, the raw materials used, the supply chain, its marketing strategies, and the effects of beer consumption on the human body. Participants will be given knowledge about the different beer styles, quality issues, how the cultivation, and environment of the raw material affect each other, and how the image and culture of beer are influenced by various factors.
The Science of Beer MOOC has been developed by the students of Wageningen University & Research in honor of the 100th anniversary of their university. The students have been guided by professors and experts in the domain of food production, marketing, health risks, logistics, and sustainable supply chains to give the learners a high-quality learning experience. Two pathways may be selected by the candidates to get enrolled in the course. One pathway offered limited course access to the materials while the other pathway offers unlimited access.
