Bankura Christian College, Durgapur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a Central Library which has a stock of more than 65,000 rare and resourceful Books, Journals and Periodicals. The college library has a reading room which provides students and teachers an adequate space for reading. In addition to the Bankura Christian College library, every Science Department and the Department of English have their departmental libraries.

The Web-OPAC search facility is the salient feature of the college library. E-books and E-Journals are also accessible through INFLIBNET-NLIST. The E-resource can be accessed through the Wi-Fi facility. Photocopy and Printout facilities are also available in the college library.

The College has multiple hostels for boys, namely, Mitchel Hostel and Brown Hostel. Both hostels can accommodate approximately 190 students. Bankura Christian College boys' hostels are situated within the college campus. The hostels offer single-seated and three-seated rooms. The college hostel has a garden, provision for various indoor games, a television, and a water purifier. A common room is also available for recreation and study, along with dining facilities. The college hostels are well-connected with high-speed internet facilities.

The College includes multiple hostels for girls namely, Mother Teresa Hostel and Sister Nibedita Hostel which are located adjacent to the college campus. Both the hostels can accommodate 145 students. Bankura Christian College hostels offer four-seated and six-seated rooms to girls students. The hostels are well equipped with a dining room, kitchen, common rooms along with indoor game facilities.

The college has a good IT infrastructure as it has a Centralised Computer Centre called Network Resource Centre which is equipped with Computers, Projectors, Smart Board and Broadband Internet connection.

The whole campus of Bankura Christian College Durgapur is well connected with the broadband WiFi internet facility. The Central UGC-NRC lab has multiple computers with high speed broadband internet connectivity.

The college has fully equipped laboratories for students to do experiments as a part of their practical classes and for teachers to conduct their research work. Apart from various departmental laboratories, the Physics Department has an Observatory with Dobsonian Reflecting Telescope provided by Orion Sky Quest.

The College has also included a canteen where multiple types of food and refreshment are provided to students and staff members. Fresh and filtered drinking water is supplied in the college canteen.

The College has provision for various indoor and outdoor games and sports in the college campus. The college has an Indoor Sports Complex which has facilities for games such as badminton and table tennis. Apart from this, Bankura Christian College Durgapur sports facilities also include multiple playgrounds which have facilities for games such as basketball, badminton, football and cricket.
