Established in 1949, Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri, Dhanbad is a prominent government technical college in India, comprising ten academic departments. BIT Sindri is affiliated with Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi, whose establishment was initiated by Shri Pranab Mukherjee, the former President of India. B.Tech and M.Tech are the courses provided which are approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.

The BIT Sindri offers 23 B.Tech and M.Tech courses in multiple disciplines like Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and many more. The BIT Sindri fees for UG and PG courses range between Rs 38,000 to Rs 70,000. Admissions to BIT Sindri UG courses are offered based on marks obtained in the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) whereas for the PG courses, a valid GATE score is required along with successful completion of a written test and an interview conducted by the institute.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the campus is good, and new buildings are under construction. There are many opportunities in college; you have to grab them. There is one library where you can get all the books for academics. The library has a collection of more than 1 lakh books. There are 30 hostels on the campus, and all are well-maintained. Wi-Fi is not available at any hostel.

Experiences are very excited and excellent and expensive

BIT SINDRI , Birsa Institute of Technology is established in 1949 is one of the oldest state government college of Jharkhand. It's infrastructure is well but old. There are few modifications are being seen recently like nee hostels are being build in a modern look, cafeteria of our College is well maintained and has modern look.

Overall it's a good college.

College Infrastructure

Bit sindri is established in 1949 .it has large campus area of 400 acres .it's infrastructure is desent but can be improved. All departments are well maintained and structured. There are two play grounds for sports.

What was JEE rank for general category to get admission in BIT Sindri

Hello aspirant,

Based on past year's trends, I think you need to be at least in the 93 percentile to get into ECE, ME, or EE, or maybe Mining or Metallurgical, to get admission in BIT Sindri. You roughly need ranking under 80,000 in JEE Mains for admission in this college.

Hello,

For B.Tech degree in BIT, you have to appear for state's own entrance test, JCECE conducted by Govt. of Jharkhanad.

For M.Tec, you have to appear for GATE exam.

Hello Aspirant,

The eligibility criteria of jee mains are as follows -

Candidates should pass from any recognised board or University in their class 12th.
Candidates should opt for physics chemistry and mathematics as mandatory subjects.
Candidates should secure a minimum of 75 percentage in their class 12th.

But you can sit for jee mains and try to get a good percentile so that you can get a good branch in BIT Sindri.
