About BIT Sindri, Dhanbad

Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri, Dhanbad was established in 1949 at Patna. It was shifted to Sindri in 1950. BIT Sindri was previously called Bihar Institute of Technology, Sindri and affiliated to Ranchi University. Later, the institute became the affiliated engineering college of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh. The institute is spread over a campus size of 450 acres. BIT Sindri, Dhanbad has a total faculty size of 77 members and 3053 students. All the courses of BIT Sindri, Dhanbad are approved by the AICTE and most of the undergraduate programmes are accredited by NBA. The institute offers a total of 30 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The infrastructure of this college is not upto the make . The campus is very big but it is not well maintained by the administrative department. Hostel donot have wifi connection and food quality is not good

Yes our college had all necessary infrastructure all 10 departments have their own building facilities are also good also necessary equipments are present in their respective lab but only the only problem is the become too old not working properly our classroom have all needed facilities like smart board benches fans etc but wifi is not present in classroom and hostels sports facilities are also good almost all facilities are present

If you get admission in nit IIT then get go otherwise

Overall infrastructure is really good but the only problem is that it is of oldish type that means it is in developing condition but right that buildings of 1949 o think after few year it become really good

No, you can't take admission in BIT SINDRI if you don't have domicile of Jharkhand.

A Jharkhand domicile is required to register at BIT SINDRI. Domicile certificate is the first evidence that you are a citizen of Jharkhand since BIT SINDRI is solely for students of Jharkhand and not for students from other states.

Procedure to take admission :-

You must first take the JEE MAIN exam and attempt to achieve a high percentile and decent rank. You must submit an application to be included to the Merit List on the JCECE website based on your ranking. JCECE will thereafter publish the state rank merit list. You can apply for admission to BIT SINDRI based on your state rank.

i have got 91 percentile in jee mains and i am domicile of jharkhand general category can i get mechanical branch in BIT sindri ?

Yes, you can get mechanical in BIT Sindri, for that you have to participate in the counseling round which is done after some months of JEE mains and there you will get colleges which are under Jharkhand government and you can get into BIT Sindri.
