CSSM provides B.A. Honours courses in nine subjects: Bengali, English, History, Philosophy, Education, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology, and Arabic. CSSM admission to all these courses is based on merit. The candidates should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with the concerned subjects. The college releases merit lists for each subject, and shortlisted candidates are invited to fill up the admission formalities.
The college provides a general B.Sc. course. The admission in this course is also purely merit-based. Students with a science background in 10+2 or an equivalent exam can apply for it. The selection procedure is done through the release of merit lists according to the marks scored in the qualifying exam.
This special B.Sc. Agriculture and Rural Development Honours course has the same merit-based admission system as other courses. Students with science or agriculture background at 10+2 level are eligible to apply. The choice is made on the basis of the merit list prepared on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
