College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Bikaner (CVAS Bikaner), is a prestigious institution offering specialized programs in animal husbandry and veterinary science. B.V.Sc. & A.H.: Admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry program is solely based on the candidate's performance in a competitive entrance examination. The program has an intake of 80 students per year. No other merit or weightage is considered for admission to this program.
Diploma in Animal Husbandry: This program admits 50 students annually. The admission is merit-based and takes into consideration the marks obtained in the Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, or Agriculture stream subjects with Biology as one of the optional subjects.
M.V.Sc. Programs: CVAS Bikaner offers various M.V.Sc. specializations including Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Veterinary Pathology, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Livestock Production and Management, among others. The intake varies for each specialization, ranging from 2 to 7 seats. Admission to these programs involves an interview process for eligible candidates.
Ph.D. Programs: The college offers doctoral programs in numerous fields such as Livestock Production and Technology, Veterinary Surgery and Radiology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Pathology, and more.
