FIIB Student Development Schemes The FIIB Student Development Schemes are an institutional initiative designed to support and enhance student learning beyond the classroom by sharing financial assistance for innovation, global exposure, experiential learning, and professional skill development.
1. FIIB Student Start-up Seed Fund (Seed funding support for student entrepreneurship) FIIB will provide seed funding support of up to Rs. 1,00,000/- per student/team for selected startup ideas. Students must submit a startup proposal including a business idea, market potential, and implementation plan. Proposals will be evaluated by a screening committee consisting of external experts. Funding will be released in stages based on milestone achievement, such as: - Stage 1 – Proposal Shortlisting: Rs. 20,000/- upon approval of idea and concept note.
- Stage 2 – Prototype / Proof of Concept: Rs.30,000/- upon development of prototype or pilot.
- Stage 3 – Market Testing / Validation: Rs.30,000/- after demonstrating pilot results or customer validation.
- Stage 4 – Implementation / Launch: Rs.20,000/- upon submission of progress report and presentation.
2. FIIB Global Immersion Support Fund (Financial assistance for international immersion programs) FIIB will provide 25,000/- per student in approved international immersion programs. There will be limited seats. Interested students must submit an application expressing interest in the immersion program. Students will be shortlisted and selected through an interview conducted by a committee. - Selection will be based on academic performance, motivation, and ability to represent FIIB internationally.
- Students must submit a brief report and presentation on learning outcomes after completion of the immersion program.
3. FIIB Live Project Support Grant - Earn as you Learn (Encouraging experiential industry learning) FIIB will provide a grant of Rs. 5,000/- per student for completing an approved live industry project. Students must submit project details, including organisation, project scope, and expected outcomes, for approval. The grant will be released after verification of the successful project completion. Students must submit a brief report and presentation on learning outcomes after completion of the project. The live project must be mentored by a faculty member and/or industry supervisor. Upon completion, students must submit: - Project report
- Completion certificate or confirmation from the organisation
4. FIIB Advanced Skills Development Grant (Support for external professional skill certifications) FIIB will provide financial support up to Rs. 5,000/- per student for completing recognized professional skill development programs beyond the LinkedIn Learning certifications already available to FIIB students. Students must apply for approval before enrolling in the programme. Eligible programmes may include industry certifications, specialized skill courses, professional training programs, and conference participation. - Students must submit proof of completion and certification to claim the grant.
- The objective of the scheme is to encourage students to acquire advanced industry-relevant skills.
