Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Admission in GEC Sheohar for four years B.Tech. course is made through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (B.C.E.C.E.) conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of college is decent but the basic things like play ground , subjects laboratories, auditorium etc. are there. Also, hostels for boys as well as girls and the faculty quarter and staff quarter are there.
It is a good college for middle class people.

The college infrastructure is good . it is situated in a village named chatauna in sheohar district.Campus is of 7.5 acre . It has 1 boy and girl hostel each in the campus . It is well maintained and clean.

The academic block is good and it also have badminton court in it. The campus is in 7.5 acers. There is 1 boy's hostel and 1 girl's hostel in campus. It also have it's own running track. Volleyball court is also here.
