Top academics, great clinical exposure, good campus life.

      College Infrastructure

The campus features centrally air-conditioned lecture theatres and a 24/7 Wi-Fi enabled library with vast resources. The 1,000-bed hospital provides excellent clinical exposure. Labs are modern and well-equipped for research. While the hostels offer decent living spaces and sports facilities like a gym and courts, the mess food quality can be inconsistent. Overall, it is a well-maintained, top-tier facility for medical education.

      Academics

The teaching quality is exceptional, with highly experienced faculty who provide great mentorship. The curriculum is strictly aligned with NMC guidelines, ensuring we stay updated with recent medical developments. The heavy patient inflow in the hospital provides unparalleled clinical exposure, making us truly job-ready and confident for our future medical careers.

      Placements

GMCH Chandigarh offers a mandatory 1-year internship with a stipend of approx ₹30,000. While there are no corporate placements, 100% of MBBS students get clinical exposure. Many graduates secure Senior Residency or top PG seats via NEET PG with median packages around ₹10.8-15.6 LPA for specialists. The college and hospital staff are highly supportive throughout the rigorous clinical training process.

      Value for Money

The annual MBBS fee is approximately ₹25,000, with total course costs around ₹1.25 Lakhs. For a top-35 NIRF-ranked institute, it offers exceptional value through high patient inflow, world-class infrastructure (like the new Block-E), and a decent monthly internship stipend of ₹18,000. It is highly cost-effective compared to private colleges.

      Campus Life

GMCH offers top-tier clinical exposure and academics. The 24/7 library is a lifesaver, and Plexus/Euphoria fests are highlights. Campus is small but safe; however, hostels need better upkeep. Safe environment and professional academic setting.

      Others

Chandigarh's location is a huge plus—safe, green, and close to great hangout spots. The clinical load is high, ensuring you graduate with solid practical skills. Highly recommended for medicos!
