Government Polytechnic, Amravati Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The Government Polytechnic Amravati has one Boys' Hostel with a capacity of 167 students located on the campus of the college since 1955. The Hostel is equipped with all facilities like a color TV in the common mess hall, a newspaper withstands, and a large playground for recreation of a student in hostel premises. 

The GP Amravati has two Girls' hostels equipped with all facilities like a colour TV in the common mess hall, newspapers, and a large playground for the recreation of students on hostel premises. A hot water facility is also provided to students through a solar water heating system a capacity of 3000 litres for both hostels. 

The Government Polytechnic Amravati has a unique stand-alone Building for the Library with an area of 3550 sq.m with a reading space of 150 sqm. The library comprises a Library and departmental libraries that collectively support the teaching and extension programs of the Institute. The Library has got a collection of over 1lac book, journals, video cassettes, and CDs. DVDs in the fields of science, engineering, humanities, literature, and management. 

The GP Amravati Playground provides facilities for outdoor games. The institute encourages students to participate in various games like IEDSSAA, Interzonal competitions and others.

The Government Polytechnic Amravati is fully equipped with the latest computing facilities, wifi, laboratories and internet facilities. 

The GP Amravati has a spacious and clean canteen managed by a professional caterer that provides quality food at an affordable price. Due care is taken to maintain a hygienic condition in the canteen.

The GP Amravati has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. This facility helps the students to create and innovate ideas which are helpful for research and development activities. 

The Student Co-operative Store is located in the Institute campus and it meets the basic requirements of stationeries on the Government Polytechnic Amravati premises.

The GP Amravati has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. Auditorium has a state-of-the-art infrastructure with all necessary facilities, where cultural and academic events are also conducted. 

The Government Polytechnic Amravati Gymkhana Hall is equipped with Audio-Visual facilities having more than 300 students and faculties seating capacity. This facility provides an ideal location not only for students to attend the lectures by various experts but also covers various Institutional programs.

The GP Amravati has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members. This facility can be availed by students parents whenever events are conducted.
