Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Zoology is a three-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by Hansraj College, Delhi and affiliated to University of Delhi, Delhi.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Zoology course offers an amalgamation of understanding the animal world from outside as well as at a molecular level. It provides an opportunity for a comprehensive study of Animal Biodiversity, Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Ecology, and Environment Management. With the current CBCS system, it also provides skill enhancement in Apiculture and Research Methodology which can further help students to pursue alternate careers. Here classroom teaching is supplemented with regular seminars, workshops and educational excursions to various research institutes, hospitals and wildlife sanctuaries to provide in-depth knowledge, hands-on training, and interaction with eminent scientists.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate courses offered by the University of Delhi shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto. The applicants seeking admission to the undergraduate courses offered by the University should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses in subsequent sections.

55% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry (Practical & Theory together) and 50% or more marks in one compulsory language i.e. English.

College Infrastructure

It has been well built in terms of infrastructure development. Especially, the library is well maintained. Besides that, the canteen was recently renovated when I was student there. The laboratory were well equipped for the experiments.Indeed, we used to have an amazing time there.

College infrastructure is good it looks like a unique structure and there is beautiful garden and sports ground for Play and enjoying students life college provides hostel for girls and for boys both with a secured environment
