      Supportive faculty

      College Infrastructure

Swami Shraddhanand College has decent infrastructure with spacious classrooms, a library, computer labs and sports facilities. The campus is clean and peaceful. WiFi and basic facilities are available for students, although some classrooms still need better maintenance and modern equipment. The library has a good collection of books for academics and competitive exams. Canteen food is affordable and hygienic. Overall, the infrastructure is satisfactory for Delhi University students and provides a comfortable environment for studies and extracurricular activities.

      Academics

I am studying at Swami Shraddhanand College under Delhi University and the academic environment is good. Most teachers are helpful, experienced and supportive towards students. The curriculum follows the DU syllabus and gets updated regularly according to recent developments. Classes are conducted properly and teachers also guide students regarding exams and assignments. The college helps students build subject knowledge and basic skills required for higher studies and jobs. Overall, academics are decent and suitable for students who are serious about learning.

      Placements

Placements at Swami Shraddhanand College are average compared to top DU colleges. Some companies visit the campus for recruitment and internships, mainly for sales, marketing and support roles. Students with good communication skills and academic performance get better opportunities. The placement cell is supportive and conducts seminars, workshops and career guidance sessions. Average salary packages are moderate, so many students prefer higher studies or off-campus placements. Overall, placement opportunities are improving gradually but still need development.

      Value for Money

The course fee at Swami Shraddhanand College is affordable and reasonable compared to private colleges. Being a Delhi University college, students receive quality education, experienced faculty and good exposure at a low cost. The college provides decent infrastructure, academic support, library facilities and extracurricular opportunities. Students can improve their knowledge, communication skills and overall personality without spending too much money. Considering the reputation of Delhi University and the affordable fee structure, the college offers good value for money and is a suitable option for higher education.

      Campus Life

Campus life at Swami Shraddhanand College is enjoyable and friendly. The college organizes cultural fests, sports competitions, seminars, workshops and society activities regularly. Students from different backgrounds interact with each other, creating a diverse and positive atmosphere on campus. Seniors and faculty members are generally supportive and helpful. The campus environment is peaceful and suitable for studies as well as extracurricular activities. Although the campus size is moderate, students still get many opportunities to participate in events, improve their skills and make memorable experiences during college life.

College is divided into old and new campus. It's sports ground is very large and very famous for cricket game. Benches of classroom are broke and old, washroom are very unhygienic. Water coolers don't give purified water.

      Academics

Academic are very good .Many department are there and all have very excellent and supportive faculties. The science and commerce department are considered best in the campus. Teachers are easily approachable.

      Placements

Placement cell is very bad. While the placement cell has become very active recently but still facing difficulty to place students in reputed companies. Students get success by applying for off - campus .

      College Infrastructure

The college building is decent but it feels little old in some parts. Classrooms are okay, not very modern, some fans and lights also not working properly sometimes. Library is good and has enough books, but seating space is limited when exams are near. Washrooms are average and need more cleanliness.

      Academics

Teachers are knowledgeable and helpful, but teaching style of some teachers is little boring and more theory based. Few professors explain concepts very clearly, while others just read from slides or books. Internal assessments are taken regularly but sometimes syllabus is not completed on time

      Placements

. Placement opportunities are average and not very high for all courses. Some companies do come, but mostly for limited roles and packages are not very attractive. Many students have to search for jobs on their own or go for higher studies.

      College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of Swami Shraddhanand College is a mix of good and average elements. The newer blocks are well constructed, spacious, and fairly modern, with clean classrooms, proper lighting, and good ventilation. The library is one of the stronger points quiet, organised, and stocked well enough for most courses. Science laboratories are functional and regularly used, though some equipment feels a bit old. The older parts of the campus do need improvement. A few classrooms still have worn-out benches, and the washrooms, especially in the older sections, aren’t always maintained well. The campus is large and green, but the overall look can feel uneven because some areas are well developed while others seem outdated. Overall, the infrastructure is satisfactory for a government college not premium, but decent enough if your expectations are realistic.

      Academics

The courses and academics at Swami Shraddhanand College are considered one of its stronger points. Most departments have knowledgeable and experienced teachers who explain concepts well and maintain regular classes. Many students appreciate that the faculty is approachable and willing to help with doubts, assignments, and exam preparation. The syllabus follows Delhi University standards, so the academic structure is solid and covers all essential topics. Attendance policies are generally moderate, giving students a fair balance between classes and personal study. Practical subjects like science and commerce are taught systematically, though sometimes the pace can feel fast during exam months. Internal assessments, assignments, and tutorials are conducted on time, which keeps the academic flow steady. However, the overall learning experience still depends on the student’s own effort, as guidance is good but not very personalised. Some departments are more active than others in workshops or seminars. Still, for a government college, the academic environment is reliable, disciplined, and supportive enough for students who stay consistent.

      Placements

The placement opportunities at Swami Shraddhanand College are quite limited and this is one of the areas where students often feel disappointed. The placement cell exists, but it is not very active compared to many other Delhi University colleges. Only a few companies visit the campus each year and most of them offer internships or low salary roles. High-package or well-known companies rarely participate. Because of this, students mostly rely on their own efforts—applying for internships online, building skills independently, or preparing for competitive exams. For courses like B.A. and B.Sc. (general), campus placements are especially weak. A few commerce students may get opportunities, but even those are not consistent. Overall, if someone is expecting strong placement support or a guaranteed job after graduation, this college may not meet those expectations. However, students who actively build skills, do internships outside, and maintain a good academic record can still create opportunities on their own.

      Value for Money

students feel that the education quality is better than what the low fees suggest However the value depends on what you expect. The infrastructure is a mix of good and average, and campus placements are limited, so you may have to find internships and jobs on your own. Extracurricular activities are also not as vibrant as in top DU colleges.Overall, if your priority is a recognised DU degree, solid academic support, and low cost, the college is definitely worth the money. If you expect premium facilities or strong placements, the value may feel lower.

      Campus Life

Campus life at Swami Shraddhanand College is moderate and depends a lot on what you’re looking for. The environment is generally peaceful, with a calm crowd and a friendly atmosphere among students. There are a few active societies for dance, drama, NSS, and debate, but the overall participation level is not as high as in the more centrally located DU colleges. Events and fests do happen, but they’re smaller in scale and less frequent. Sports facilities are available, and the college does encourage participation, though the energy on campus is usually more academic than cultural. Many students prefer studying in the library or sitting in open green areas, which are quite pleasant. Since the college is in Alipur, daily hangout spots and cafes around campus are limited, so most students head home after classes. Overall, campus life is simple and peaceful good for those who like a quieter college experience, but it might feel slow if you’re expecting a very vibrant or event heavy campus.

      Others

From my own experience, Swami Shraddhanand College has been a mix of good and average moments. The thing I have genuinely appreciated the most is the behaviour of the teachers. Most of them are patient, supportive, and actually try to teach rather than just finish the syllabus. Whenever I had doubts, I never felt hesitant to ask—they usually responded kindly. Academically, the college is stable and you do feel like you’re progressing.

The college infrastructure is good they have canteen with health foods . And the library is full of Books . College faculty is very good, with good teachers giving us practical skills for our future life.

      Academics

Academia is very good. Teachers are very good and helpful, looking and taking care after using. College has wide and diverse syllabus with good books to learn about various guides which helps us to understand the subject .

      Placements

Placement is not so good. Big companies do not come to our college. Only small companies visit our college campus for recruiting the students. The average placement of our college is 4 to 5 LPA and highest placement offers to students is 7 LPA .

The infrastructure is okay not that great but the metro connectivity is not feasible many students struggle while coming to college .The area Alipur is quite unsafe for girls ,basic facilities are there but the pgs are not safe and the canteen is unhygienic

      Academics

Academically its okay but not great because there is no particular time table for the classes but the faculty is not that bad .The faculty is good but the crowd is not and if exposure is something you're looking for then amity is not for you

      Placements

The placement cell is run by students and it does not provide any sort placements or internships to the students .The placement cell just exists it really doesn't play a big role as it unactive mostly

      Value for Money

The fees is quite affordable its around 14000 per year . The fees is affordable but there is no exposure as such and if connections and exposure is something you're looking for than SSNC is not worth it

      Campus Life

Campus life is not that great because the college lies in the outskirts of Delhi and the area that the college lies in is quite unsafe and under developed . It takes hours to reach to college because of which many students avoid coming to college

      Placements

      College Infrastructure

Average college need to imrove canteen and infrastructure can install smart board , also good ventilation and proper fans needed in old campus of the college which is necessary in hot summer in delhi

      Academics

      Placements

Didn't know much about it ... It has a placement cell college has its placement cell few people get placed through it but not at a very high package needed to improve and have a proper system for it.l

      Value for Money

It has a very less college fees , I guess only 15000 for a year ... You could get a degree of delhi University by spending such a less amount but lack many things and doesn't have a very great college life

      Campus Life

It is very far from the city near the outskirts of the city . So it is difficult to travel there that's a drawback, people are not able to attend college because of it and it also make the campus life but boring.
