About HIMT College Chennai
Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training (HIMT) Kalpakkam came into existence in 1998. The largest maritime institute of India is HIMT Kalpakkam. It is situated in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu. HIMT Kalpakkam is an affiliated college of the Indian Maritime University and the Directorate General of Shipping also approves it. HIMT Kalpakkam has various UG courses in its curriculum. HIMT Kalpakkam courses consist of Diploma, B.Sc., and B.E./B.Tech.
Before entering HIMT UG courses, candidates must meet the specified eligibility criteria. Besides that, candidates should hold a valid scorecard of the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET). The HIMT admission will be decided based on the IMU CET exam score and the candidates' academic records. To secure admission at HIMT, candidates have to qualify in all the rounds of the selection process.

To establish a good rapport with the organisation/recruiters, the HIMT Placement cell is following the most appropriate procedure. Our Campus has excellent infrastructure facilities with a ship in campus, smart classrooms with air conditioning, world class VR labs, auxiliary machine workshops, neat and clean hostels, swimming pool, advanced electrical labs, football ground, basketball courts, indoor games and many more.

Yes, Himt college has all the facilities and equipment. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards. The college do have a swimming pool and gym. There’s a ground of playing cricket football and all.
