48 MonthsBachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing is a four-year full-time program that is the undergraduate level in the nursing course offered by Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the BSc. Degree course in nursing(Basic) should have passed qualifying examination after a period of 12 years of study with the following subjects of physics chemistry and biology or botany and zoology. A certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer should be submitted before admission along with a Blood Report. The minimum education requirements shall be passing of higher secondary school certificate examination (12-year course) (OR) Senior school certificate examination (10, +2), pre-degree examination (10, +2) or equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science (physics, chemistry, biology) an English with minimum 40% aggregate marks(PCBE) for SC/ST candidate the minimum mark is 40%, for Bc/Mbc - 45% The candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission on or before 31st December of the year of the admission.
The intake of candidates is by counseling and management quota. There are 39 counseling seats and 21 management seats available.
