The Beginning of My Career Journey

      College Infrastructure

The facilities at JSDA are honestly next level. I spend most of my time in the studios; they aren't just classrooms, they're creative spaces where we actually get hands on experience while making models and designs. We have access to high end labs to test and build things, which is huge when you're trying to figure out how materials work. Between the aesthetic hostels and the 24/7 library and sophisticated amenities, i feel like i have everything i need to just focus on my designs without any extra stress.

      Academics

Academics here hit different because it's not just about classroom learning. In my first year, i focused on foundations like drawing and visual skills, but now i'm diving into complex stuff like " Enclosure & Habitation" and "Material Lifecycles." Also, it's not just about design, but we integrate electives in business, psychology, media, etc., into our curriculum. Our Dean, Badrinarayan Srinivasan, and the rest of the profs here really push us to think on our feet. I love how i can actually customize my curriculum; it makes me feel like i'm being trained to think like an entrepreneur, not just a designer. It's intense but very rewarding.

      Placements

Even though i'm still right in the middle of my studies, the career mentorship here feels really personal. We're being prepped for all sorts of things, like set design, virtual spaces, or even museum curation. I've already seen how the university's Office of Career Services has helped in securing internship opportunities. It also supported seniors in finding amazing job roles in Teal Design studio, IOTA Informatics, and many more. Knowing I'll graduate with an internationally recognized B.Des. gives me a lot of confidence about what comes next.

      Value for Money

I'll be real; the tution is 5 lakhs a year, plus accommodation charges, so it's a big investment. But it is much less than many other design schools around. When i look at the exposure I'm geting, like the interdisciplinarity and the specialized BIM and project planning tools we use, it feels worth it. They also offer Merit-cum-Means scholarships, which can really help out with the fees. I am literally paying for a global standard of design education and a pathway to top Master's programs worldwide.

      Campus Life

The vibe at JSDA is a dream come true for anyone who is into design. It;s not a typical college life the campus itself is like a giant space to explore. i spent most of my time in the studios where the energy is electric. We also have the creative spaces that are just amazing for collaborative work, and the sense of belonging here is real, It's a place that actually celebrates your weird, creative ideas and gives you the freedom to just be yourself.

A College That Helped Me Grow

      College Infrastructure

The O.P Jindal Global University campus has everything you would expect from a top university. From India's first Constitution Museum to a world-class sports complex with an Plympic Size swimming pool, the facilities are impressive. JGU has a central library with more than 200,000+ books from multiple discilines, and places like RASA (Recreational Arena for Student Activities) give students a space to relax after classes. Another addition to the campus infra is the newly launched Shalu Jindal Performing Arts Academy, which gives a creative touch to campus life. Overall, JGU's infrastructure is aesthetically designed and fulfils students' academic and personal needs.

      Academics

My descision to pusue a b.des is primarily based on the academic offerings of the Jindal School of Design and Architecture. JSDA is part of O.P Jindal Global University, which is well known for its academics and placements. Over 40+ full-time professors take care of academics, and what i love the most are the lab sessions. There are labs such as the 3D fabrication lab, digital learning lab, materials and making lab, etc. Here, we learn about the software and tools used in modern interior design.

      Placements

From a placement perspective, O.P Jindal Global University is far better than other universities. It is because of the strong industry collaborations that the university has many local and global tie-ups with renowed companies and organizations, and through the ocs, we get opportunities for internships and jobs. Also, one of my senior was recently selected for a study abroad programme, through which he is pursuing his further studies in Australia.

      Value for Money

It is definitely good value for money; for this level of education and facilities, students pay millions if rupees at Foreign universities. Before joining O.P. Jindal Global university, i also thougt, "is it worth spending that much money on my education at an Indian University?" But after joining the university, my whole perception changed. it is not limited to the facilities you get, the education, placements, and other international opportunities like study abroad programmes here are so much better than any other uni.

      Campus Life

Now it's been more than a year, and there hasn't been a single a day when i regretted my decision. Everything is so lively and happening here; almost every week, there is a new event. Because O.P Jindal Global University has 12 schools, something is happening every week or every other day. Also, there are specific clubs and societies for students to join, according to their preferences. Last week, there was a Yuva Sansad, and i also took part because i love debating political and social issues.

Good Collage With good placements & infrastructure.

The facilities are good in this college. Computer laboratory is available. The hostel facilities are better. Staff members are average. The food served in the mess is good.. Hostel Provides a good facilities with clean washrooms & clean rooms. Both AC & Noc- Ac are both provided.

      Academics

Teachers are good in our college. They not only teach the basic theory of the course but also give us on-field knowledge through working on live projects with actual clients. They give us the freedom to explore our different interests through the assignments.

      Placements

Architecture colleges do not usually offer placements after graduation, but JSAA offers a list of internships for those students who apply during the semester breaks. They also promote internships in this college.

      A Good College for B.Arch

      College Infrastructure

Honestly, I am quite amazed by the infrastructure that JSDA has to offer. The architecture studios are huge, well-lit, and remain open 24*7 during final submissions and assessments. At JSDA, we have a proper construction yard, a fabrication lab, a geotech lab, a surveying lab, and a VR/immersive design lab with HTC VIVE and Oculus setups. High-end workstations, 3D printers are also available in the digital centre. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and has access to more than 48,000 books in the library. Overall, good facilities with a nice environment.

      Academics

Academics at JSDA are hands-on and globally influenced. The B.Arch program includes design studios, working-drawing courses, sustainability modules, and even the option to pick a minor, which is not available in architecture schools. Professors come from places like the UK, US, and top indian institutes, and everyone holds PhDs or international training. Students get to work on actual live projects, site visits, and digital tools like Revit and Stadd Pro. It is intense but genuinely enriching.

      Placements

Placements are provided by the Office of Career Services at Jindal University, but the exposure which students get is strong. B.Arch Placements are depends upon internships arranged through faculty connections and JGU's office of career services. Alumni of JSDA Interned with design studios in Delhi NCR, heritage labs, and sustainability firms. Since B.Arch is a 5-year program, the first major placement cycle happens later, but the industry tie-ups and portfolio- building support are helpful.

      Value for Money

While the coursework at JSDA requires consistent effort, the outcomes make it worthwhile. The infrastructure itself-3D labs, fabrication equipment, VR studio, surveying instruments, and Adobe/Autodesk softwares are a big value add-on. Faculty quality, studio culture, small batch sizes, and access to a fully residential campus at JGU also ass much value. Plus, there are scholarships based on merit as well as financial needs. Considering the kind of exposure, learning across disciplines, and international pathways, it does feel like you are paying for quality.

      Campus Life

Campus life at JGU is really something. I mean, it's probably the best thing could've happened with the B.Arch course. Full residential campus, clubs, festivals, sports, a huge gym, and a food court, which never gets monotonous. You get to meet students from law, business, liberal arts, and IR constantly, so it's pretty diverse here.
