I would like to tell you that PhD in biology is available at MIT, in that you can choose your research area as biochemistry.
PhDs are usually full funded but if theres any tuition fee present then your PI can only tell you about that.

Admission in MIT is through TNEA counselling for undergraduate courses and for PG courses it is based on merit in GATE/TANCET.The admission in UG course is based on merit in 10+2.And there is no limit for number of attempts as there isn't any entrance exam for admission in UG.There is no separate exam for this college for admission in UG course.But for admission in PG course you can either appear for GATE or TANCET and the exam paper will be in English and there is no limit for number of attempts.

Admission Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai is based on merit in 10+2.You need to apply for this college through TNEA counselling.Usually the cut off will be above 195.So if you have scored 195+ marks then you can apply.TNEA will release application form after the declaration of 10+2 results.You can visit the official website of MIT and fill the application form.The official dates are not yet announced for counselling by TNEA.It may start in the month of July 2020 (tentatively). Application will be released in May 2020(tentatively)

Getting good rank in jee advanced will not directly help you to get into MIT but its an indicator of you being an excellent student.
You, require international level skills like coding, science Olympiads etc. MIT allows you to state 5 activities, acedemic and non acedemic achievements which you have to cash in any way.
You require to crack the SAT with good grades as well.
Beside this one needs at least three letters of recommendations from top faculties.

SRM and VIT are pretty much same in academics and has the same employability record. Both offers excellent opportunities for ICT. Beside those MIT is ofcourse a topnotch college in the country all the courses including ICT here are very decent. MIT always focused on quality not quantity in every sphere.
