The B.Tech. degree program is for a duration of four years consisting of 8 semesters and 42 courses. The specialization courses in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Biomedical engineering are offered as electives in semester Vth As the teaching is mainly hands-on, the students are required to carry out intensive project work at the institute. The last semester includes an external project to be conducted at a national research laboratory or an industry in the particular domain or at the institute itself.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission will be on merit, based on CET/NEET/JEE Main scores basis wherein preference will be given to students Biology or Maths with Chemistry and Physics as core major subjects.
Students outside Maharashtra will be considered based on score in JEE conducted by Central Board or or NEET or state CET scores.
Students without either Maths/Biology at the 10+2 level will be encouraged to undertake a remedial course (3 credits) for the same during the first semester of the B Tech degree program.
Candidate should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject AND Secured minimum 50 % marks in the subjects.

Admission Details

CET is compulsory for MH students. JEE is compulsory for outside MH students.
Students need to download the application form from the university website, fill it and send it with the required application fee (by demand draft only) to the university.
University will publish the list of selected candidates on the website as well as communicate to the selected students via email & post.

College Infrastructure

A hospital is available in campus.Labs and classrooms were amazing. Hostel rooms were a bit small but adequate. Dual rooms in the first year were more entertaining to be honest.Food Is not bad . sometimes it's average.

A good option for pursuing bioeng. with a great campus.

College Infrastructure

The Facilities at mit SBSR are one of it's major highlights.There are well maintained and well equipped labs for a variety of subjects.The sports facilities at the campus are one of the best in the state with centres for almost all sports.
