The Admissions Process is for the Progressive Education society's Modern College of Pharmacy for Ladies Pune- PES MCPL, which is a renowned institution in pharmacy education for women. The procedure for admission is rigorous and selective, giving an opportunity for worthy candidates to be admitted on the basis of merit and aptitude for pharmaceutical studies. Admission typically opens in the months of May and June for the academic year that begins in August and September. The admission is for degrees with different levels such as B.Pharma, M.Pharma, D.Pharma, and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics. B.Pharma consists of 100 seats, which is based on results from MHT CET, the state-level common entrance exam for candidates to be eligible for admission into the institute. Candidates for M.Pharma must qualify GPAT. M.Pharma courses fall into M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics and M.Pharma in Quality Assurance Techniques, with each having 15 seats.
Admission in D.Pharma consists of 60 seats and has a different admission process, whose details will be released before the admission season. Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics consists of 20 seats, and often, the minimum requirement for admission is that the student possesses a master's degree in the concerned stream. Different criteria of eligibility are given for different programs. The B.Pharma candidates must have completed the 10+2 exam with Physics and Chemistry compulsory subjects and any of Mathematics or Biology as the other subject. The minimum aggregate of 50% is required. The applicants for M.Pharma should have a B.Pharma degree from a recognized university with marks typically equal to or more than 55%. Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: Admission into B.Pharma is based on the performance of PS candidates in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). The total intake for B.Pharma at PES MCPL stands at 100 seats. Candidates must pass 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology as the final qualifying examinations concerned. In addition, they are required to satisfy the minimum criteria for Maharashtra CET.
M.Pharma: PES MCPL offers two M.Pharma programs-M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics and M.Pharma in Quality Assurance Techniques, both with a capacity of 15 seats. GPAT scores will be the main factor determining admission. A candidate must have a B.Pharma degree from a recognized university, generally with a minimum of 55% marks.
D.Pharma: D.Pharma is offered by the college with an intake capacity of 60 students. Admission to this course will be carried out through a separate process, and details will be announced just before the admission season.
Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics: The Ph.D. program consists of 20 seats, which have specific admission criteria. For a candidate, generally, the requirement would be a master's degree in the concerned field. Additional tests and interviews may be conducted in the selection process.
The college was really good in terms of academics. All the faculties were well trained and have a good teaching experience. Majorly all the faculties were the PhD holders. They were really helpful and I had a good respect for them.

Yes, you can take direct admission in b pharma in only private and deemed pharmacy colleges. The seats provided for direct admission are called management quota seats. For direct admission also students have to score minimum marks required by the college in class 12. Mostly it is student should have passed the 12th standard with physics, chemistry, maths or biology with 50 % marks , diploma in pharmacy students are also eligible to take admission.
