Rammohan College, Kolkata Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College owns the "Sadhana Sarkar Memorial Hostel" for bona fide students. This four-storied building is equipped with a visitor's room, dining and assembly hall, study room, and more, and operates under the supervision of a hostel superintendent.

The college gymnasium was established with the aim of promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle among the students and faculty members. It is open to all students and faculty members.  The gymnasiums are equipped with modern types of equipment and facilities.

The College library is well-equipped with a vast collection of books on various subjects, along with periodicals and magazines of both general and specialised interest. It currently holds purchased books and numerous donated ones. Additionally, a book bank under the UGC scheme is available in the New Science Building, benefiting both teachers and students.

The College regularly organizes annual sports events and encourages students to engage in extracurricular and co-curricular activities. The college premises include a courtyard where students can practise badminton and volleyball.

The College Department provides a well-designed, modern IT Laboratory with internet connectivity. Computer facilities are provided to all departments, enabling faculty members to stay updated and incorporate new information into their lesson plans.

The College has a small auditorium for hosting cultural and academic activities, providing a space for various events and seminars.

The College Canteen is run by a lady who belongs to a “self-help” group, recommended by a local Councilor. By giving “infrastructural facilities to her, for her livelihood,” Rammohan College is trying to extend help to the local community.

The College has preliminary medical care (first-aid) provided by the College to students as needed. In emergencies, patients are taken to Calcutta Medical College or nearby nursing homes. Health camps are also organised for student health check-ups.
