      SIMSRC Bangalore Admission Process

Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center (SIMSRC), Bangalore, has a reputation as a pre-eminent medical institute. The institute officially enrolls a large number of medical and allied health science programs, and the admission process is designed to select the best among the candidates. SIMSRC is affiliated with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and Indian Nursing Council (INC), thereby endorsing standards for medical education. At SIMSRC, the admission process begins roughly around May-June of the academic year, commencing from August-September. The applications are usually accepted based on national-level entrance examinations depending on the programs. In case of undergraduate programs, the admissions of MBBS are based on NEETUG.

Admission to postgraduate courses for MD and MS involves NEET-PG while those for super-specialty courses like DM and M.Ch require qualifying NEET-SS. For consideration in admission, candidates should qualify in NEET-UG examination. Postgraduate courses like MD and MS have different seats depending upon specialization, ranging from 2 to 32. To be eligible to apply, the candidate must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized institution with an acquired qualification through NEET-PG. Limited seats of DM and M.Ch specialization generally range from 1 to 4, and candidates are asked to qualify in the NEET-SS.

      Application Process

These application procedures for SIMSRC depend on the program:

      1. Qualify in the NEET-UG examination.

      2. Register for the counseling process conducted by the designated authority.

      3. Choose SIMSRC and preferred course during the counseling process.

      4. If allotted a seat, report to SIMSRC for document verification and fee payment.

      For MD/MS Programs:

      1. Qualify in the NEET-PG examination.

      2. Register for the counseling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

      3. Select SIMSRC and preferred specialization during counseling.

      4. If allotted a seat, complete the admission formalities at SIMSRC.

      For DM/M.Ch Programs:

      1. Qualify in the NEET-SS examination.

      2. Participate in the counseling process conducted by the MCC.

      3. Choose SIMSRC and the desired super-specialty during counseling.

      4. If selected, report to SIMSRC for admission procedures.

The necessary documents for admission generally involved are:

      • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test score card
      • Class 10 and 12 mark sheet
      • MBBS degree certificate and mark sheets (for postgraduate courses)
      • MD/MS degree certificate (for super-specialty courses)
      • Valid ID
      • Passport size photographs
      • Caste certificate (If applicable)
      • Other certificates as notified by the institute.

      Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: Admission to the MBBS course at SIMSRC is based on the performance of the candidate in NEET-UG. The institute offers 250 seats for this course. Candidates must have 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and qualify in the NEET-UG examination.

MD/MS: SIMSRC has a selection of MD and MS programs with varied numbers of intake. For example, MD General Medicine caters to 32 seats, whereas MD Biochemistry caters to only 2 seats. The admissions are via NEET-PG, and candidates must have done their MBBS and qualified in the NEET-PG examination.

DM/M.Ch: These super-specialty programs have very few seats ranging from 1 to 4 for different specialties. For example, DM Cardiology has 4 seats while DM Interventional Radiology has only 1 seat. The admission is based on NEET-SS merit. Candidates must have completed their MD/MS in the relevant specialization and qualify in the NEET-SS examination.

B.Sc Programs: Various B.Sc programs in allied health sciences including Nursing, Optometry, Radiography and Medical Laboratory Technology are being conducted at SIMSRC. Academics

teachers are teaching well, they are able to clear the doubts that arise when they lectures. I felt the classes interesting, but there are some students who doesnt understands the class because they are indulged in the mobile phones. The curriculum is not updated and is of the past years.

      College Infra

we have a good building for the academic session. The classrooms are completely air conditioned. The lab have all facilities and is well clean and hygiene. The campus is developed. There is also a building for research and analysis for all departments.

      Campus Life

Campus life is better than the other aspects, I am able to enjoy the campus and the town very well. We go for outing daily and comes back only after 11. Most of the area here have become familiar to us. Morevoer the campus area is a place for the group discussion.

      Placements

The placement here is very less. Most students go for the md or higher education,. I am planning to go for the post graduation and then for the phd of the subject. Some students are trying to go outside india for further education. I believe the placement of the college should be improved,..

      Value For Money

Value for money is good but we are not getting much attention from the college part. There is no such recent development in the college, The library should contain more useful books for the course. Some of the students take the books early and then others dont get benefit from the library. hostel food is also bad.
