Bachelors of Business Administration in Hospital Administration is a three-year full-time course offered by Dr. DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai. The 3- Year full-time program consists of six Semesters, each semester being of six-month duration. Each comprises of subjects related to general management & specialized hospital administration subjects, which would provide insights into managerial concepts in a hospital. Additionally, second semester onwards, there are tutorials/projects which would be conducted in the 1200 bedded D.Y.Patil Hospital. Here the focus is to give the students a firm grounding on the managerial skills and also in honing their interpersonal skills through a series of practical based sessions.

A large number of private hospitals and clinics have come up all over the country. With increasing emphasis on quality of health care and patient satisfaction, there is a tremendous need for persons with a professional qualification in Hospital Management.

Hospital Management is a new concept in management stream. Gone are the days when a senior doctor would generally be responsible for the role of a hospital manager. Career Prospects: Most job opportunities in the field of Hospital Management are in hospitals, but one can also find openings in health agencies, laboratories and other health and allied services. Government hospitals, as well as private hospitals, employ Hospital administrators/ managers. Employment opportunities in this field are plenty. Fresh degree holders may start their professional career as assistant hospital administrators or as managers of non-health departments like finance.
