Yes the college has got infrastructure which has been provided to all the students. The faculty has been too good always. Always supported the students for all the things. Library has always been full of books.
One of the best faculty that the graduation college can provide. All the faculty members are very supportive. With all the projects and detailed discussion so that we can have a clear concept of the things we learn.
Placement is a very serious and concentration matter. Teachers give us all the motivation for us to get the placements. And we are taught everything in such a way that we also want the placement to happen soon.
I did not get placed from the college because i had planned for higher education. Hut for the ones who got placed were happy but switched jobs within a year almost and wanted to find better jobs than before.
The campus was amazing. We had classes very large ones. There used to be a games room. A fountain. A small park. And building construction was in a U shape form. The library was very big and full of knowledge.
Everything was very nice. The three years in that college went by within a few clicks. Life wasnt certain. Classes happened with all energy, events happened with all enthusiasm. Teachers were friendly.
The college campus is spacious with big classrooms and well equipped facilities. The library is a blessing for students and you also have book counter for the students where you can buy books at a reasonable rate in the campus itself. There are seperate common room for girls and boys and sports room for interested students. Although, the canteen food tastes very bad and the toilets are not that clean.
The college is best for commerce as we got much experienced and knowledgeable professors for our subjects. Students can clear their doubts with the teachers even after the classes. However, I think non-bengali students may face language barrier with some teachers.
The college offers ample placement opportunities to final year students as well as passed out students. Well established companies like Amazon, Tcs, Concentrix, Indigo conducts their placement tests. The average package for commerce ranged from 12k to 22k.
The fee structure is very affordable for students of any income group. You will definitely feel you got your money's worth. The average fee structure for commerce is approx ₹3000 per year including everything.
The college organises different activities and programs for students to participate and enjoy like the sports day, Fests, Saraswati Puja, etc. The new students get a grand fresher's party conducted by their seniors. You can experience diversity in the college. The location is very convenient plus the street food outside the college is a bliss for students. However, there are some political issues faced.
The three years of college was an overall good experience. I got to make new friends and understand the culture of the place. However, being a non-bengali I faced language barrier in the initial year.
Our college have all the necessary infrastructure whether you talk about proper classrooms, chemistry lab, library and projector. Anyway, when it comes hygiene it doesn't stands upto the mark (by this I mean washroom and canteen).
I'm a student of B.com(H) in Accounts & Finance. It is not the top college in the city so as expected the faculties are soo good in teaching. It is inappropriate for a student to judge his teacher but, it is what it is. Talking about the curriculum, it is managed by the University of Calcutta which got updated latest in 2017, it also happens to be the year I joined college.
our college provides very ordinary placement options especially more like c-grade job, back office job where there is very limited growth for an individual with a moderate salary of 8k-16k pm. most of the students don't opt for it, soo the placements percentage remains stable and high.
As it is a government college, the fees are pretty low. my course costs 5000-6000 p.a. compared to any similar private college offering the same course in 25000-40000. Soo, it goes in favour if somebody's looking for good ROI. but the quality of life inside campus is not good.
The best part of the college is its library, pretty well maintained with all the latest books of different interest. And apparently the worst part are the faculties who don't teach according to the standard of the UG program. Students inside campus can indulge themselves in different activities which includes drama, dance, public speaking, debate, table tennis and not to forget gym.
If you are someone looking for enjoying your college life in the best possible way, this should cannot be your option. Although, if you are someone from lower middle class background who also happens to a dayjob and attend college in evening as its fees is relatively less. Thank You for your time.
College infrastructure is quite descent. The college has two main building. The whole campus has high speed wifi facility. All the classrooms has projectors and smart boards. There is also a playground for organizing sports inside the campus.
I had passed in 2018 with B.Com Hons. The faculties of our college are well qualified and very supportive. You have to attend classes because the college has strict rule of 75 % attendance. The college is affiliated under Calcutta University. The curriculum is updated in some years by Calcutta University.
The placements of our college is average. As most of the courses are not professional so the rate of placement is low. I had placed in ICICI Bank and worked for 1 year. Most of the students are intelligent as the cut off to get admission is high. So the students who perform well throughout their course will get job definitely.
The college is 100 percent value for money. My yearly fee was only Rupees 3000. As the college is government funded ,the fee of the college is less in comparison of other private colleges. So I will say the college is totally value for money.
Campus life of our college is very good. As the college is situated in North Kolkata, so all the important places are near to college. Also there are plenty of PG near the college to stay. There are banks ATMs and food shops within 500 meter area.
So overall the college has great academics and a truly budget college. It's a great undergraduate college, specially if you want to study commerce in undergraduate. I will highly recommend this college to commerce students.
