One of the finest infrastructures in the City of Joy. Availability of amenities are plenty and the maintenance of a heritage college is something not taken lightly. With state-of-the-art classrooms and common rooms, the college also has a great canteen with many choices. The library is also designed in a way so that there is plenty of room for walking. The classrooms have ample space and has tall roofs to keep the room cool and let students focus on the ongoing class. There are two entrances, one for people, another for vehicles. There's a massive space in the middle of the college with much space for conducting college events. The staff room and union room of the college is made in a way that is accessible for all the students and teachers. The laboratories are also well equipped. There's a stationary shop near the common room for students to buy books or other stationary items. Staff room for teachers are also well designed and is placed in a way that is accessible for everyone. The principal's office is near the entrance of the college for purpose of better access for both students, teachers and parents.
I pursued History Honours in this college. The decision to join this college came after I realised that this college although is better in commerce stream, has one of the finest faculties in the area for history. The curriculum is designed in a way that is up and coming of age and understands the generational change of the way of teaching. Traditional methods of teaching are not encouraged here. The classes are interactive in nature and teachers are also cooperative of everyone regardless of how many times someone approaches with a problem. Teachers encourage students to cultivate problem-solving skills, inter-personal skills, communication skills and other soft skills in order to not prepare them just for bookish knowledge but practical skills as well. The curriculum not just includes studies but also plethora of events related to dance, music, drama, pottery, poetry, stand-up comedy and many others. The college organises one of the biggest annual fests in the city roping in celebrities to enthuse the students and give them a gala time. Curriculum also includes sports events such as cricket, football, kabaddi. The college curriculum makes sure that the students enjoy their healthy youth in a healthy way and have a job in hand when they pass out of the college.
The placement opportunities in the college are also really good. Out of 50 students in a class, 35-40 students find a job based on college grooming and professional interview training. The rest are given further classes, grooming and interview sessions to improve their chances of getting placed. If students decide to pursue higher education after college, the college faculty guides the students in a very warm and helpful way. The programs initiated by the college for students to improve their chances of getting placed are designed in a way that will yield practical results and help the students better understand the real-world job scenario and train them accordingly. At times, due to unforeseen circumstances such as recession, the college makes sure that students upskill themselves in order to learn new skills and start a venture of their own. The college faculties also provide special classes for passing out candidates to learn new skills so that in the long run, students develop the habit of constantly learning new things.
The course fees are considerably lower than other private colleges in the area. It has value-for-money because the return on investment is far better than many others colleges in the area. The quality of education and other activities provided are most definitely value for money given the fact that what we got was way more than what we spent. Delightful!
Too good to be true! I've made lifelong friends from this place and I shall cherish every moment in here.
Infrastructure is adequate for course. Library has necessary book collection. It did not have wifi at that time (2018-21). There was a dedicated computer lab and practical computer test. Classroom were traditional.
Faculty members are hardworking and caring of students. The evening section had only one course which is Bachelor of Commerce and the degree is given under the University of Calcutta. The facilities of other sections were different.
There were a few placement opportunities. The number of students in the whole batch was huge, so not everyone was placed. The covid situation also impacted the hiring so the batch saw less number of recruiters.
Fees were negligible and very minimal.
The location is at a prime spot and well connected through public transport.
1) yeah the college has nessaserry infrastructure . 2) we got AC in our department , sufficient computer for practical and cooperative teachers and profesor . 3) yeah we can say it clear but there has no vending mechine so girls has to face problems . Foods are good .
It's average in academics . Not super good . Students don't have any any basic idea about what's is going on in the society and the teachers don't even tell them to do that . So yeah it's very average
No placement has given to us It claims that it will give students pleasant but they don't and we can't expect that from a goverment college but some goverment college effectively try to give students placements but our college don't do.
It doesn't cost so much anyone can effort that Yeah my parents money got worth because it's chepe and we got the goverment college degree so yeah it was not a wastage of money . People who are trying to get a graduation degree without investing so much money surely go for it .
Not so good . Average
No
Our college remains clean almost everyday, even the bathroom is clean. Equipments need to study journalism, are in well conditioned and maintenance of these are good. Even other science department's Equipments are well maintained.
I'm currently pursuing a bachelor degree in journalism, and the Instructors or faculties are teaching us very carefully. Specially they helps us to learn beyond syllabus, and behaves properly with uss. They're Student friendly .
I don't much about that,as far as I know we have a distinct placement cell for students;most of the bcom students got help from this cell. But it's not available towards the wide number of students,That's all.
1.Reasonable course fees. 2.Not any extra charges. 3.No extra event charges. 4.Everyday classes. It's actually a value for money,Such as,Where journalists is an costly course among all colleges,Our colleges takes only 6K rupees per Semester.
1.They arranges so many events their own to make together students and let them enjoy,Such as freshers, farewell etc. 2.Frequently arranges cultural programmes, seminars to engage students. 3.Students also Engaged in NCC and NSS unit.
It includes well-maintained classrooms, equipped labs (Science/IT), and a good library (often AC). Facilities like a canteen, medical center, and sports options (Carom, Chess, Table Tennis) are available.
Seth Anandram Jaipuria College in Kolkata (affiliated with the University of Calcutta) offers a diverse range of UG courses (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com) across Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. With a history dating back to 1945, the college is NAAC accredited and is known for its multi-shift system (morning for girls, evening for boys, day co-ed)
The college generally maintains decent placement records, particularly in commerce. Top recruiters often include companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, and Deloitte. Students are typically eligible for recruitment from the 5th semester (3rd year) onwards.
It is a decent college with good expirience for students. I enjoyed the college life and learnt a lot of things and also got internship. So overall it was a good expirence. It was really worth the feesjg
It was average i would say. Teachers were decent and had a lot of knowledge. Moreover they were really helpful. I learnt a lot of things and had a nice time in terms of academics in the college too.. Placems
Placements of the college is not very good.. Not a lot of good companies come. Even if some decent company comes, the package they offer is very less so i would not prefer to get placed directly from here.
College Infrastructure in terms of facilities is quite good. There are provisions for safe and purified drinking water and there are also distant playgrounds for the students. Benches are almost always neat and clean.
I graduated from the college in 1989 and consequently did my mcom along with my CA course. The Academics in the college at that point was second to none. Goenka and jaipuria served to be the best colleges for bcom in those times.
Placements are made on merit basis. Better the student, better will be the placement. As far as bcom goes, most of the students are pursing mcom after bcom even after getting good salary packages from the college.
The college have the necessary facilities, but the infrastructure is not much good, but it's trying to imporve. Some classroom have projectors, have great library which is well maintained have a common room to play.
Our college have one of the best teaching strategies, professor are very helpful and supportive academic wise. And also emphasises in our personal development, and yes the study makes us ready for job.
Our college have no longer placement facilities atleast in our time. But it use to have a great placement cell previously were big 4 companies use to hire and also the renowned companies, i hope the college will provide the same in the comming future.
Have best and reasonable course price around Rs. 3,000/- per semester. With quality learning. So yess completing the course you want to with the best and with reasonable price you can choose the same college as it also gives you the best results academic wise.
Does not have much of a campus life but teachers and stafff are very supportive. Students will get the opportunities to participate in big events and other cultural functions or fest the location is near the metro so easy travel and is safe.
The college infrastructure is very poor. No proper hygienic is maintained. The canteen is always found to be very smelling with no proper cleaning and hygienic. The washroom taps never work properly. No soap is being provided in the washroom
I have studied B.com hons in accounting and finance. Teachers are good but sometimes it's difficult to understand in the way they are explaining. The students have to face many barriers to cope up with the teachers. Some teachers are very good in both teaching and giving moral support.
I didn't took part in the placements, so i can't comment on this much. But my classmates took part and from them i got to know that a very less percentage of students get the opportunity. The process is quite complicated, i noticed students were facing multiple problems in getting mails and interview updates.
The cost per year for the course i enrolled was worth it, because they provide good knowledge with low cost. This college don't charge high fees but the amount they charge is good for the knowlegde they provide to the students.
College is more active in sports games. And students are always interested to take part and enjoy the tournaments. Yes, the college location is safe for atleast the morning and day shift. It may found a little difficult for evening shift.
Good college for the students to go for b.com and other courses. Only one hard task is to manage with the attendance. For morning students attendance is compulsory and for the students pursuing with the professional courses they face a lot of trouble at the end moment just because of lack of good attendance percent.
Good infrastructure , designer design , located in poch area, greenery everywhere , know. For the traditional culture , respect all religion , spacy enviroments , rooms are very big and animal friendly
Very good faculty, friendly environment go to faculty in every situation , provide study material offline ,proper notes, photostats and pots are provided to each and every one , very flexible hours for study
Better placement opportunity compared to rest of the collages , placement committe works very hard for the students welfare almost 95 percent tof the students are placed and have a bright future for the students
