Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya, situated in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, is a relatively young college, catering mainly to the needs of the region in different forms of undergraduate courses in arts and sciences. Admission at Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya is inclusive for all eligible candidates.
The college follows a simplified admission procedure for its various undergraduate courses. The admissions usually take place every year for the academic session beginning in July/August, based on merit, taking into account the candidate's performance in the 10+2 or any equivalent examination.
Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya offers a total of 12 undergraduate programs, all full-time. Degree courses include both General and Honours in Arts (BA) and Science (BSc). The student intake across all the programs in the college amounts to a total of 723, thus ensuring a fairly good ratio between students and faculty in the interest of quality education.
Application Process
Application for admission to Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya is done in the following way:

Degree wise Admission Process
BA (Bachelor of Arts): Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya offers BA programs with different specializations. The General BA program has an intake of 111 seats; for BA Honours programs offered by the college the specializations include Bengali (69 seats), Sanskrit (69 seats), Education (69 seats), History (60 seats), English (60 seats), and Philosophy (49 seats). Admission is through marks in the relevant subjects of the 10+2 exam.
BSc (Bachelor of Science): The college provides BSc programs with different specializations. The General BSc program has an intake of 38 seats. For BSc Honours, specializations are offered in Geography (38 seats), Mathematics (27 seats), Physics (11 seats), and Chemistry (11 seats). BSc program admissions are granted on the basis of marks obtained in the 10+2 examination in science subjects, with a special emphasis on the subject in which a candidate has applied for admission.
