SVET's College of Pharmacy, Humnabad Admission Process

SVET's College of Pharmacy, Humnabad, is one of the highly reputed institutes offering quality education in pharmacy, which has got recognition from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to sustain a structured admission procedure for its various pharmacy programs. The college is located in the Bidar District of Karnataka and offers an intake of 370 students combined for all programs. Predominantly, the college admission process depends on the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) scores accepted mainly for admission into pharmacy programs and other related professional courses all over Karnataka. The students intending to seek admission to the college will have to apply and qualify with the relevant KCET scores for eligibility to admission.

Generally, the eligibility criteria require a candidate to have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in which the major subjects studied are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. Ranges in percentage may vary for some programs and must be confirmed on the college's official website or admission office. The admission cycle usually is aligned with the KCET examination. All prospective students are usually recommended to check the KCET and official college websites for further new information regarding application deadlines, dates of examination, and announcements of results.

      Application Process

The process of application to SVET's College of Pharmacy, Humnabad, involves several stipulating steps.

      1. KCET Registration: Registration to appear for KCET hangs at the top. This step is primordial since admissions to all programs of the college mainly operate on KCET scores.

      2. KCET Counselling: The KCET result being announced, those candidates who qualify shall then be counselled by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

      3. College Application: Candidates may apply to SVET's College of Pharmacy, although no specific details can be provided. This could be done either through a form possibly available at the college website or received directly from the college itself.

      4. Documents Submission: The applicants are supposed to submit all requisite documents, which among others include:

      • KCET score card
      • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
      • Transfer certificate
      • Migration certificate, if applicable
      • Caste Certificate, if applicable
      • Recent passport-size photographs

      5. Admission Confirmation: Based on rank in KCET and seat availability, these candidates will be allotted their preferred courses. All candidates, who receive allotments, need to confirm their admissions by paying the requisite fee.

      6. Fee Payment: For the B.Pharma course the fees would revolve around ₹193,600 and for M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics, ₹196,000. One should corroborate with the college for detailed structures and methods of payment.

Prospective students are urged to constantly check the college's official website and contact the admission office for recent and accurate details about the application process, necessary documents and important dates.

      Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: The Bachelor of Pharmacy program at SVET's College of Pharmacy is a four-year undergraduate course with an intake capacity of 40 students. Admission to this program is based on the candidate's performance in the KCET examination. To be eligible, candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as core subjects.

M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: The college offers this two-year postgraduate specialization with an intake of 15. Admission to M.Pharma is likely based on an entrance examination conducted for the course, namely GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test), as well as on the academic performance of the B.Pharma. However, details of the admission criteria should be confirmed from the college.

D.Pharma: Diplomas in Pharmacy are also awarded at SVET's College of Pharmacy. Although specific numbers for admission are not available, the admission process for this program are, in all probability, based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) along with a possible state-level entrance test. Any candidate considering pursuing this program should contact the college for accurate admission details.
