The College has Hostels in academic institutions are the epicenter of the undercurrents of campus life. The Boys’ Hostel provides residential facilities. Admissions are strictly on the basis of merit and the resident students are expected to maintain the spirit of camaraderie and dignity. Students who need hostel accommodation are required to apply separately for the same just after admission. Scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students are given the highest preference during the allotment of seats in the boys’ hostel. If any seat(s) remain vacant, it is usually filled up out of the general caste student applicants giving appropriate weightage to merit and distance from residence to the college. However, generally, we try to give higher preference to the honors course students over general course students.

The college has a separate center for Health Unit furnished with First Aid facilities. It is a matter of pride that the In-charge of the unit is a teacher as well as a medical degree holder approved by MCI.

The college has a big hall is used as Gymnasium where various modern equipment for indoor physical training is available.

The college began its journey with just a few subjects and the college library was also started to serve the users. At this stage, the users were very meager. The college has now flourished from its embryonic stage to a multidisciplinary faculty, subsequently, the needs of the users have also been increased. The B.Ed class started in 1965 with a strength of 125 students. At present, the number of departments is nineteen with BEd, Commerce and P.G. Bengali, History, Sanskrit, Zoology, etc. Despite limited resources and several financial constraints, shortage of staffs, and infrastructural limitations, we are doing our best to meet the demands of our users by rendering various services to all with the combined efforts of our staff members as well as authority

The college has a playground measuring 399.85 sq mt. and located at the front of the Arts & Science Block has been systematically developed. Recently it has been upgraded as an ideal ground for all sorts of sports activities. The college authority provides various applicants for conducting Football& Cricket tournaments and for holding district-level annual sports in addition to the college sports and college inter-class Football, Cricket tournaments.

The college has a well designed modern central computer laboratory has been built that is equipped with advanced audiovisual multi-media and internet broadband facilities. It is also equipped with audio-visual and multi-media facilities like an LCD projector for instance.

The College has a spacious auditorium where more than 300 people can assemble for cultural events. This thus serves the purpose of heightening the culture-mindedness of the general milieu of the college.
