The scale of pay of assistant professor is rs 15,600 -39,100 rs +academic grade pay 6000. The scale of pay is in arts, Science, commerce, social science, Humanities, education, languages, law or and journalism and Mass Communication , in any of the UGC aided colleges in India and also in Mumbai

After 7th pay commission assistant professor scale is rs 57,700  to rs79,800

I would suggest you to choose between KJ Somaiya and Mithibai College of Arts and Commerce, Mumbai. Both are Top Colleges having excellent faculty, culture, facilities as well as strong curriculum under Mumbai University.

For most of the colleges in town , the cut-off ranges between

80–85% for Arts, and

75–85% for Commerce and Science.

The third list usually closes down at 70–85%.

It may vary according to caste category.

If you get lucky, some seats are left vacant in a few colleges after the third list so the college opens its admission process again which is the second phase admissions. However, you can only appear in the phase second if you had applied in the first one.

If we talk about fee structure so it is different for different colleges. It may vary from 18000-40000.

Well usually the working hours are like normal that is from 9 to 5 in the evening but since most of the professors have their post doctoral work going on and research work going on, they might stay in the college or lab for as long as they wish and have work to do. But official hours usually is between 9 to 5.
