The College and Research Institute Library plays a vital role in the collection, development, and dissemination of Veterinary Science information to meet the present and future needs of the Institute. The Library has been computerized by using SOUL. Software (Software for University Libraries) developed by INFLIBNET Centre, Gujarat, and also provides OPAC facilities to the users in the institute. The library has a rich collection of books and journals in the field of Veterinary Science.
The college Departments at Veterinary college and Research Institute, Namakkal Campus has a computer with LAN/WAN connections and Internet browsing also. The computer center attached to the Department of Animal Husbandry Statistics and Computer Applications has about 30 numbers of computers for imparting Under graduate and Post graduate education and systems are connected with LAN/WAN and Internet browsing also.
The college has health center with first aid facility for the students.
The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has departmental-based laboratories facility for the students. Modernization /up-gradation of Animal feed analytical laboratory for testing of animal/poultry products funded by APEDA.

For B.V.Sc and A.H, Students has to pass 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board of the country are eligible for admission into this course and Should have to cleared All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) or some state specific veterinary test. They are some national and state-level entrance exams to appear for the admission into the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry program.
AIPVT (All India Pre-Veterinary Test) has been replaced by the NEET examination from 2018. NEET is a national level exam that usually offers admission to medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, MD, among others. But now the candidates seeking admission in BVSc Animal Husbandry courses through 15% all India Quota seats will have to compulsorily appear for NEET examination.
