Your rank is far higher than the cutoff to get a seat at Andhra University if we look at the cutoff trends of the last few years . A rank of at least 7950 or lower is required to be admitted to Andhra University. So the likelihood is quite low. Although it is a respectable rating, I advise you to apply to several other reputable universities.

As CSE is most popular and demanding branch so usually cutoff of CSE rises and always sit on peak only. students have to really work hard for this rank range.

Multinational companies need full time graduation with 60% marks. Most of the companies are making it necessary for the people who apply for the job to be a full time graduate. I'm sorry to say this but distance education graduation is not necessary to get a job in multinational companies. Many companies have rejected the application forms just because the candidates have a distant bachelors degree. Indian IT Companies work on the model of providing services at very low cost. So they want cheap employees, who have everything good on paper, to get easy visa.

In some companies like IBM, Google, Microsoft etc they value your skills. They want right person for a right job. They will give you training and if you are good at your job you can work there.

Degree taken through distance education is valid to get job in MNCs. But most of Indian multinational companies are not considering that. There are also many companies that value your work and skills along with your qualification. Not weather you are a regular or a distance education graduate.

In 2020 a candidate with rank 2197 belonging to BC-A category secured admission to Computer Science Engineering in A U COLLEGE OF ENGG. VISAKHAPATNAM. Considering the cut off you need to secure a rank around 2100. To secure such rank you should aim to score minimum 100-110 marks or above in AP EAPCET. The cut off is different for each category and discipline. The cut off for admission in Andhra University lower compared to other institutes. The cut off is also subjected to change depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. If you belong to general category you should aim to score minimum 120-130 marks or above in AP EAPCET to get seat in Andhra University. If you belong to BC/EWS category you should aim to score minimum 110-120 marks or above. If you belong to SC/ST category you need to score minimum 100 marks or above in AP EAPCET. This year weightage is not given for marks scored in qualifying examination that is 10+2. So the rank is determined based on marks scored in AP EAPCET alone. Hope you are doing great. Yes, You can are eligible to give the entrance examination of AP LAWCET in order to join the AU(Andhra University). The Eligibility criteria to give the exam is the candidate must have taken and passed the 10+2 exam or a test with a recognized equivalent. They must have completed Class 12 in any field with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 45%. Candidates who have taken the Class 12th or an equivalent exam but have not yet received their results are also eligible as long as they present documentation of this at the time of admission. The appropriate legal institutions waive the minimum mark standards for candidates who fall within the reserved category.

You have to appear for AUCET exam for the admission in Andhra University for msc course and will have to cross the cut off. Then only the admission process will continue.The eligibility for MSc metrology in Andhra University Visakhapatnam is it any candidate who has passed Bachelor degree of 3 years duration (B.Sc. or equivalent) under 10+2+3 pattern from any recognized university.
