In Andhra University two girls hostels and one boys hostel are present. And due to research hostel facility good.

But after join the hostel i want to give you honest advice dear. I'm a hostel student so i know it how's the hostel. They said food was good but trust me in every hostel for every colleges food not good at all. And real life hostel huge difference than movie like hostel.

So just prepared your self before join the hostel.

Dear its 2020. And now ragging could not occur in any colleges or universities. So many years ago ragging appear. But passing of years the ragging violence are increasing so government and colleges strictly join and stop ragging. So don't worry there will be no ragging occur. But if any kind of miss behaviour is occure in any college which is not comfortable with you, than you can contact antiragging members in your Colleges or universities. All colleges have this committee. So don't worry.

According to last year's cutoffs, you have chances to get Civil Engineering in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering Kakinada and Andhra University with 5k rank in AP eamcet .

• 7585 - the last rank to get Civil Engineering in JNTU Kakinada.
• 7533 -the last year's cutoff for Civil engineering in Andhra University College of Engineering.

Andhra university college of engineering, vishakapatnam is one of the top college in AP.The student societies are organised by students. Programmes like cultural,  tech,management,nss are organised.The main festivals celebrated in AU is ugadi,deepavali and holi. Hope this information helps you.

Positive points about Andhra University.

They have nice overall ratings. One of the oldest institutions which is a reputed, standard college. Minimum students populations. They have got nice infrastructure with experienced teaching faculties. Aluminies are in good positions.

Negative points are.

They don't have great placement records. They have large laboratory but they are not well equipped. They are following old syllabus as well question paper pattern. Which is not updated at all.

based on your rank and category, yes you can get into Andhra University.

- AU college of Engineering vishakhapatnam had a cut off of around 7000 rank in 2018 so chances are that you may get it in later rounds.

- You can comfortably get CSE at SRKR college whose cut off for BC-C boys was about 12000 in 2018.

- You can also try for Gayatri Vidhya Parishad college of Engineering in subsequent rounds.

Andhra University College of Engineering Visakhapatnam -

The college has an excellent training and placement cell which provides training for the students. The college also provides internship opportunities to the students.Many companies participated in the placement drive and offered good packages to students. The average package offered is about 4lakhs.The IT department have good placement records. Major Recruiters are HCL, Wipro, Infosys etc.The highest package offered is about 7LPA.
