Course Details

BITS Pilani offers an online M.Tech Cloud Computing programme designed to provide working professionals with an in-depth understanding of Big Data, Network and Security in Cloud, Distributed Computing, Cloud-native application development, Cloud Economics, and more. The online M.Tech Cloud Computing is a 2-year BITS Pilani Work Integrated Learning Programme (WILP). Spread across four semesters, the BITS Pilani Online M.Tech Data Science and Engineering programme classes are conducted online mostly on weekends or after business hours, allowing participants to pursue the programme without compromising their work. The course can be pursued by working professionals as well as business owners.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in pursuing the BITS Pilani Online M.Tech Cloud Computing programme must meet the eligibility criteria mandated by the university. The online M.Tech Cloud Computing eligibility criteria are as follows:

Candidates must be employed professionals and hold an Integrated First Degree of BITS or its equivalent such as B.E./M.Sc. and relevant knowledge of systems disciplines, with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. They also must have at least one year of work experience after the UG degree in the IT services and products industry.
Candidates must hold a minimum of one year of programming experience or an equivalent language in backend systems OR have passed a degree-level course in C or Java Programming.
Candidates must have experience in Relational Database Management Systems with an understanding of data schema, SQL queries, and writing programs that access databases.
Candidates who have studied any one of the subjects – computer organisation and operating systems, computer networks, and data structures and algorithms will be preferred.

Admission Details

Admission to the BITS Pilani Online M.Tech Cloud Computing course is an online process. Eligible candidates are required to register themselves and then proceed with the application form process. They need to upload the required documents and pay the application fee as applicable. After the successful submission of the application, shortlisted candidates will be intimated by the Admission Cell via email within two weeks of application submission with all supporting documents.

Evaluation Process

BITS Pilani will conduct examinations for each semester of the online M.Tech Cloud Computing. Students have to appear in the examination to pass the programme. They can attend the exams online or in-person. For online exams, students must have their own laptop or desktop with an active internet connection. Students can also take the examination in person at the institution’s designated examination centres located in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Delhi NCR, Goa, and Pilani. There is also a designated examination centre in Dubai.
