Gautam Buddha university is well known for its infrastructure. All the facilities are provided to students such as laboratories, sports centre and hostel facility is also provided to each and every student.
My course is integrated MTech due to which my 1 year is saved. The teaching quality is fine but not extremely good. The syllabus is updated every year. The teachers are supportive regarding every aspect.
Placements needs to be improved as big companies with big packages are yet to come. The highest package offered was around Rs.10 lakhs which needs to be increased considering the integrated course. The college is supportive.
It's a well known state government university with a huge campus of approx 550 acres. It has a huge library and provides all the necessary facilities including wifi , smart classes . GBU in addition takes care of cleanliness of the campus as well as hygiene of the food provided in the mess.Classes have air conditioners and the laboratories have all the required instruments, chemicals and equipments. There is a huge space for sports and other physical activities.
Here, professors are well qualifies and are very supportive but the level of teaching is not that good as some students do not attend classes even when 75% attendance is compulsory, but overall academic environment is good and studious ones get all the oppotunities to learn better and organise workshops for the freshers.
Placement rate is average as you have to make a lot of efforts on your own and not most of the reputed companies visit GBU often . It's the Soict from where most of the students get placed and they are from engineering branches . The packages for core branches are not that high but goes upto 11 lakhs where average package is of 3-4 lakhs .
As it's a state government university so its definitely cheaper than other private colleges and provide all the facilities too. So it's worth paying especially for the core branches. The hostel fee is increased every year by a little but the college never asks for extra charges and you'll get medical checkups , books and many facilities for free
The campus life is literally outstanding as you will get a beutiful and a huge campus with respective grounds and courts for sports like cricket ,football etc. Also it is located far from the main city so its definity a peaceful and safe environment with full of greenery and cleanliness.Everyone is supportive here and you'll get most of the things you need in the campus only. So overall the campus is the most beautiful thing about Gautam budhdha university
I would say it's a really good college which can provide you an oppotunity to grow as a better indivisual and explore yourself . You'll get a beautiful campus as well as a better environments to study and it has gone just fine up fot me . Best of luck !
Infrastructural wise, one cant compare it to any other university.. one of the finest campus in India, in infrastructure wise the administration is not able to maintain it in required way. One can find infrastructure in there but not the students
Currently pursuing PhD from the department of Pol.sci and International relations, though faculties are very helpful and resourceful. One of the much sought course still department lack basic facilities, not even have access to any international journal, neither they are providing any scholarship to phD students.
I've recetly joined this university so dont know much about the placement, though I've seen multiple companies banner being posted time and again for placement. Cant say much about it as i am still an outsider
40000 p.a which seems to be pretty reasonable but not when compare it to other govt universities.
One of the worst campus, in term of providing space to their own students and providing them with security.
Theres so much of gap between students and teachers and no one seems to be interested in narrowing it down. Its not only students who are at receiving end, even administrators gonna fail and the basic essence of university will going to remain as a dream..
The infrastructure of the university is pretty great. Driving in the campus itself gives one an idea of how much work has been put into it. A few projectors may not work from time to time, but otherwise there is not much to be complained about the infrastructure. Although, one may say that it is too large for a walk from a class to the mess and back, but the college provides the students with bicycles and allows other vehicles to be driven.
I'm a student of BTech (IT), and I can't really complain much about the staff either. Of course, there are a few Professors that may not be upto the mark of their subject, but even then the University takes into accord the students' views and requests. The curriculum is constantly updated. For example, just this year, another branch was added to my course, namely, AI. Such updates are helpful in making the students ready for the future.
Being just a 2nd year student, I'm not much aware about the percentage of students placed, and their salaries in their respective jobs. But from what I have heard, the quality is not great. I often hear my seniors complain about the few companies that came, and those that did, didn't expect the University itself to bring out capable students.
I do feel that the cost per year may be a bit high, but that might be my personal opinion. Although, I do know that the University offers scholarships to capable students, which is commendable and to be appreciated.
The campus life has been pretty sweet, too. The crowd is not what I would call, "to my taste", but I do find everyone engaged with someone or the other. The clubs and their activities are fun. The campus is right next to open roads, wich lead to certain hospitals if need be, but it does have it's own medical dispensary for the students and staff.
College has a good infrastructure. Facilities in the college are not so good. Not well maintained computer labs. Classrooms are equipped with Air conditioner and also with Wi-Fi facility. Library is also available in the campus.
I am studying computer science engineering here. Quality of teaching is good. But some teachers are very much strict in terms of assignment and grading system. Curriculum is well updated but needs some improvement. They have to add more specialization subject.
Placement is average. Many companies visited your campus for recruitment. CS/IT/ECE students are selected in good companies. Average package is approx 2-3 LPA. Placement process is easy and pleasant for me.
Fees is not so costly. It is approx 1 Lakhs per Year. Hostel and mess fees need to paid separately.
Campus life is good. Seniors are very much supportive. They are ready to help anytime we need them.
Overall college is good.
Yess the infrastructure provided is very good various facilities are provided in all the schools. Hostel facilities are average. The living spaces are clean and hygienic food is provided. But regular inspections by the authorities should be provided for more betterment
Yaa the quality of teaching is average. The curriculum is not very well updated.theoretical part is okk but if some practical knowledge or some extra activity research related work also be provided for more affective result
The placement cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for undergraduates and post graduates .the number of students placed through the campus interview is continuously increasing. But some improvement is still required
Yes , my university has all the necessary infrastructure , facilities and equipments for the students . The air conditioned classrooms have proper seating arrangement for the students as well as for the teachers . Proper teaching boards and projectors are also available. All the required experimental tools and gadgets are available for labs and sports and are well maintained and the library is full of great books and hostels are properly maintained for the students to live a comfortable life .
I am pursuing Bcom hons as I have my interests in bussiness and want to set up my own business one day. Teachers are very friendly and provide us with great knowledge of the subjects besides this they also give life lessons and also teaches us how to achieve success in life. They keep us updated with every current topics and share their views on it Teachers encourages us to read news paper every day and tell us how to improve English speaking and our personality.
When it comes to placement , the students faces challenges. It's been average for years. The students struggle during the placement and need to have amazing resume to get a good job . Mostly the btech students get the highest packages.
The college fees is affordable . The academic fees for my college is 12000 per semester.
I would say the campus life is average. The infrastructure is best and the surroundings are also maintained every day to provide a clean environment for the students. My university holds many types of activities for students like different types of sports and debate competition and activities . Activities and compititions in the fests . The location is safe and can handle emergencies.
The infrastructure of my university is beautiful it's has a huge pound in the middle which is connected with the buildings of different courses. The library acts as the brain of the university . The environment is maintained and clean . The single rooms are allotted to the students and rooms are really comfortable . The library is beautiful and really peaceful.
the best thing about our university is the infrastructure. the campus covers a vast area of approximately 511 acres. it has hostels, faculty houses, guest houses, indoor and outdoor stadiums, shopping complex, meditation and a huge library. the hostels are clean and spacious. all the classrooms are cleaned twice a day. the food is up to the mark. for such a large campus. maintenance has been done quite well.
I am currently studying food technology. I was attracted to this field because it is relatively new. there are many students in the field in our college. just 2250 students per batch. so our teachers are able to focus on us individually. there is a lack of permanent faculty.it is yet to say how efficient our college is in handling a new course. so far, our alumni have shown average performance off campus. I am confident that, as time passes, well be able to do better
I think the one thing that this university lacks in in is placements. very few students manage to get placed in on campus companies. as of 2019, the highest package has only been 11 lakh, with an average of 3 lakhswhy most of the students apply for PG course after doing UG from GBU because cannot rely on the on campus placement rates have been increasing every year, therefore we believe that there will be a significant improve in placement conditions after some years.
my course cost 52k rupees per semester. some courses are more expensive than others, specially the new ones. in my opinion, the fees is a bit much. but IT infrastructure makes up for it. for example we have a huge library where thousands of books, on every course. are kept. the sports facilities are free. academically, we have lab smart classes field trips, which helps maintain our interest in all subjects. aur hostel money is definitely worth.
the campus life is quite fun. there are many places to go in your free time like the complex, canteens for the meditation centre. there are many sports facilities available. there are also many clubs and societies. the extra curricular activities are quite flourished here. but it is lacking in ensuring women safety. the area around our university is shaddy. therefore it affects the proceeding on campus to.
there have been ups and downs. but many experience in this college has been great
The college is best known for it's infrastructure. The college infrastructure is best. College have every facility which more than enough for not only students but also for teachers. College contain excellent high-tech stadiums of all sports for students. Hostels are best, every student get their personal room in hostel which gave every Student equall privacy.
Currently i am pursuing integrated BTech + MBA in food processing and technology. Quality of teaching is good but lack in some areas which can further be improved by proper analysis. Course Structure is updated and upto recent developments in every field. If students studies very well than they are surely ready for job.
Quality of placement is good in most of the fields like in CS, EC, IT, MBA but lacks in some fields. If you are fully capable and have good knowledge and skills than you surely get good package according to your skills. Placement is offered by many top companies. College has it's seperate cell for placement drive for students which analyse and prepare students for interviews and exams for job and also helps in improving their skills. Companies take interviews, exams and GD for selection.
Cost per year of my course is around 1.5lakhs including hostel and mess which is reasonable cost because you got more facilities than this money worth. No college will provide such facilities in such price in whole India maybe.
The thing i like most about my college is it's campus life. I really enjoy in my college. The boy's hostel Life is best in the college. also many activities occura time to time to indulge students. But in funding for this type activities and staff support it lacks sometimes. But from this situations we learned how to manage by themselves whole event also it gave us leadership and managerial abilities. Location of campus is good and safe.
Overall University is good. It provides all type of courses and college life is good in GBU, if it improves it's teaching structure and entrance exam structure and make it more strict than college is best. Government should take more good care of this university. Resources of this College is not fully properly used . If they funds college properly and used it resources properly than college can someday in the top colleges of INDIA.

Student Preparation for UPSC and GATE:
Many B.Tech students at Gautam Buddha University (GBU), Noida , prepare for competitive exams like UPSC Civil Services (CSE), Engineering Services (ESE), and GATE alongside their studies.
The university does not have dedicated coaching for UPSC CSE or ESE, but students rely on self-study, coaching institutes, and online platforms .
GATE preparation is more common among students from branches like ECE, EE, and ME , and some faculty members guide students for technical exams.
Library and Study Support:
GBU has a well-equipped library where students access study materials for UPSC, GATE, and other government exams.
Some student groups and societies organize discussions and peer-study groups for civil services aspirants.
Placement Scenario at GBU Noida:
Placement opportunities at GBU vary based on the branch and industry demand.
Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, HCL, and Cognizant visit the campus for IT and engineering-related roles.
The average salary package ranges from 3 LPA to 6 LPA , depending on the branch and student performance.
Core branches (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) have relatively lower placement percentages in comparison to CSE and IT , but students opt for government exam preparation.
Higher Studies and Research:
Some students prefer higher education options such as M.Tech through GATE or MBA through CAT/XAT .
A few students also explore research opportunities in IITs and NITs through GATE scores.
Conclusion:
While GBU Noida does not provide dedicated coaching for UPSC or GATE , students prepare for these exams independently.
Placement opportunities are available but highly dependent on skills, internships, and individual efforts.
Students interested in government jobs or public sector roles should actively participate in self-study groups, online coaching, and mock tests .
