IIM Ahmedabad is known for its "stress testing" strategy for students. This is the process of exposing a material / model to  extreme conditions and situations to test its resilience, longevity, and ability to withstand harsh environments. In investment banking education, institutions guide students through regulatory tests. The question consists of an absurd combination of macroeconomic and microeconomic parameters. Therefore, students are  prepared for the most difficult situations that prove  beneficial. This strategy is used by  banks and other financial institutions. Returning to IIMA, first graders foresee their own stress testing strategies. Prepare a presentation about the case, including your understanding. It also keeps today's and previous day's assignments up to date. In the second semester, students had to continue this routine and work on their resume at the same time. You also need to join a group or club. IIMA holds a five-day cultural festival called "Tnite (Talent Night)". At the same time as attending the festival, it will be busy for students preparing for daily surprise tests. In summary, students have a lot to do in a very short  time.

IIM preparation is tough and one needs to be focused. For CAT - IIM preparation, students often opt for specialized coaching classes.

For a start, CAT consists of 3 sections for which you have to prepare equally well.

1. Quantitative Aptitude
2. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
3. Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation.

The exam for each section is of an hour. And in total the exam therefore, is of 3 hours.

You need to prepare on a daily basis and allocate a timetable for each section and follow it rigorously.

• Time table A good timetable will surely help you make the most of your time and also help you complete your syllabus on time.
• PYQ better solve at least one practice paper, or previous year’s CAT paper once every week.
• Join a coaching - Coaching institutes are really helpful in getting your dream school. They provide strategies, tips and shortcuts. However, one has to put in constant effort.
• Practice- Anything you studies doesn’t server purpose, until you put it in practice. Joining a coaching institute would help.

hello, give another attempt for CAT exam if you didnt get into IIM,Realise that IIM is just another institution there are many other colleges you can apply  for another management college (and there are quite a few excellent ones -  XLRI, MDI, TISS and the Schools of Management at the IITs) or join a job.

Its perfectly fine if you didnt get into the college of your dream if you are passionate about MBA you try some other college to follow your dream.

Donot take serious measures for your failures in life try to accept the truth and create best future for yourself.

For General category students  the CAT cut-off ranges from  95 to 99.9 percentile. The cut-off for reserved and pwd students is slightly lower but not by a lot is around  91 to 95 percentile.

You have to hold a bachelor's degree with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA( SC/ ST 45%) from Central or State University.

The admission is on the basis of two step process as per 2022-24 batch.

AWT and PI will be taken first from candidates who have CAT 2021 Validity score.

For shortlisting, preliminary screening is done.

It depends on your interests. Both options are equally lucrative and have great career prospects. If you are interested in jobs in technical domain or want to do research in technical domain you should pursue M.Tech from IIT Bombay. And if you want to have a career in finance, marketing, consulting or any such domains, then you can go for an MBA in IIM A/B/C.
