Great Lakes PGPM & PGDM Admissions 2026
ApplyAdmissions Open | Globally Recognized by AACSB (US) & AMBA (UK) | 17.3 LPA Avg. CTC for PGPM 2024
Hello Aspirant,
Most schools look for a minimum of two years of work experience and on the higher end, we've worked with successful applicants who applied with six or seven years of experience. That said, those lucky applicants tend to be the exception to the rule and have extenuating circumstances in play.
If you have work experience between 2 to 3 years in supervisory cadre, you will be awarded weightage by IIMs in admission. Please remember no IIM gives any weightage to the work experience of less than 6 months. Work experience beyond 4 years on wards also has very less or no weightage and is not much preferred by IIMs.
Hope this helps !!
Dear Aspirant ,
As I understand your question
The only difference between MBA and PGP is that MBA is masters degree and therefore a student having MBA can apply for admission to Ph.D. in any university in India and can appear for NET of UGC. As against this PGP is Diploma and some of the institutions have obtained its equivalence to MBA whereas other institutions have not done this and therefore the students of such institutions are not eligible for Ph.D. and NET.
best of luck for your bright future .

IIM BANGALORE:
For all the Candidates shortlisted, the 10th and 12th board results are initially adjusted by dividing each such score by 90th percentile score of that board. And then an adjusted score is calculated for the Bachelor's degree for each of the candidates based on the final scores obtained by the candidate are used for the Bachelor's degree and professional degrees. For example,
CAT = 40
10th board = 20
12th board = 10
Bachelors = 20
Gender Diversity = 2
Work Experience = 8
The 40 points for CAT are derived from the performance in each of the three sections as follows:
Verbal & Reading Comprehension - 14 points
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning - 16 points Quantitative Aptitude - 10 points.

hello there!
There are 20 IIMs and the conventional ones are IIM A,B and C. IIM A has been one of the oldest IIMs in Indian Management history. It is starting its Summer Placements from November 1st and we should see how it might turn out. Now IIM A plans on starting PGP in Advanced Business Analytics. IIM A has evolved itself and kept itself abreast among all the IIMs with its innovative courses and feeling the pulse of the Management world. So, if I have to pick one among the 20 IIMs, it will be IIM Ahmedabad.
Top IIMs in India (in according to ranking order)
i hope this helps
goodluck!
Indian Insstitute of Management actually checks all your academic scores along with CAT score but a decent score in CAT examination can surely give you a change to get one step closer to be a part of IIM institute. You will need to undergo the group discussion and personal interview rounds before finally you get to be called as an IIM student. So your personality basically can hide all these academic performances just bbecause if you speak smartly and present yourself in the best way there is nothing that can deny your admission.
