Course Overview

The role of line executives essentially involves taking tremendous amounts of managerial responsibilities in a business setup. They require a great sense of business acumen and an inclination towards taking the right decisions in financial and commercial dimensions. The managers need to provide strategic steps to the management in their respective fields. The line executives need to create financial and commercial expertise in order to add value to their role, as well as the organisation. Developing such acumen requires a good understanding of business model economics including risks, key value drivers, cost structure and controls. It also requires understanding business relationships from the commercial point-of-view including relative bargaining power, negotiation skills based on assessment of freedom available with the counter-parties, and tools and techniques to analyse business decisions.
