Hi Mahitaa. You have good academics percentages and since you are a BBA student you also get a special preferences as per IIMs policy of giving preferences to non engineers. Your chances of getting into IIM bangalore are high. You should target to get atleast 99+ percentile in CAT and build up a strong resume and practice for the interview round
CAT 2021 Examination -
Category | Fee |
General, OBC | Rs. 2200 |
SC/ ST/ PwD | Rs. 1100 |
Hope this helps !
Hi Richie,
First and foremost, for IIMs (A/B/C) you need to score a very good percentile in CAT. Assuming you're a GEM (General category, Engineer and a Male), and have decent academic scores (i.e. 85% and above in your 10th and 12th and 80% and above in your graduation) your percentile should be no less than 99.4 - 99.5.
Now, coming to specific B-Schools. IIM C gives less importance to your past academics and more to CAT and further processes (WAT, PI). So even if you have a poor score in 10th / 12th / graduation (obviously more than 70%), you still stand a chance by acing your CAT paper.
IIM B on the other hand gives a lot of weightage to your past academics. Therefore if you're not someone with 90% and above in both 10th and 12th, you might face serious competitions and if you have a poor score then you might want to drop the dream of IIM B.
But you can still look for IIM A, as it is more balanced than IIM B and doesn't necessarily put that much weight on your past academics.
Hope this helps.

Good Luck!!
hi,
see if we have to predict college based on your cat percentile, you have decent chances for selection of IIM ahmedabad, iim bangalore, iim kolkata , iim lucknow etc.
however iims has selection based on the section wise cat percentile, candidates over all academic records, work experiences etc. so it would depends on the particular institute and their eligibility criteria for that particular years. based on students review because of average academic records apart from scoring hign in CAT, candidates may not select for top iims like ahmedabad, bengalore, kolkata etc.
however do not loose hope, there is many others institute available and you can get tier 1 institute if you have good cat score. so sincerely prepare for the upcoming exam.
follow our article at below link to know about cat cutoff:

Also you have not mentioned the percentage of your graduation so it is quite difficult to give you more accurate prediction because percentage in graduation is also considered during shortlisting of candidates by IIMs.

Good Luck!!
Campus is so big and modern infrastructure is there . It literally feels like i am living my dream . Everything here is just so perfect and fine and is worth all the hardwork i did in the past few years to get in there.
It was a good experience overall but ya can be missing something like enough parking space and ofcurse the distance from city centre the campus structure and the overall building is quite satisfactory
Talking about the college instructor of IIM Bangalore is quite impressive. We have a lot of facilities be it for academics that is library or Hi-Tech advanced classrooms orbit for recreational activities like sports and other things we have got it all.
