hi,
see cutoff score varies year to year and depends on lots of factors like number of participants, seat matrix, question difficulty level etc, as for students view this year gate cutoff will slightly increase, however ms cutoff was always lower compare to mtech programmes, as for your score you have moderate chances.
Hello,
Actually to get into the iits you need to have minimum 60+.
Basically it is varies in every year due to the variation of the question difficulty level and number of students appeared.
But you have the chances to get into the nits and or any other colleges.

Hello,
ALL NIT and IIT campus provide MSc in different science fields. If you missed the IIT Join Admission Test for MSc then you can give it next year. IIT-JAM is conducted once in a year. It will conducted on February 9 for the candidates who have applied in september 2019. You have to wait for more 7 months to apply again. There is no other way to join into IIT.
NITs is the second option of students after applying for IIT and it accepts IIT-JAM score for admission. There is no different entrance test at NIT for admission into MSc degree.

Hey there,
Greetings!
Hope you’re having a great day.
I would like to inform you that it is possible for you to get enrolled in NIT with 65 percentile since you belong to SC category. But if you want to get into IIT, you need to appear for JEE Advanced after which it opens your door for Indian Institute of Technologies.
I can suggest you to go for the top NIT, NIT Warangal which will be the best for you in this percentile.
Let me know if you have further clarifications by mentioning it in the comment section below.
Have a nice day!
I wish that you have a bright future ahead.
Thanks.
Hello Shaifali,
Hope you are doing well.
Look, IIT-JAM cutoffs vary year by year. There was a sudden change in the cutoffs of different IITs last year which changed the whole pattern.
That was due to the level of Difficulty was low compared to previous years and hence the cutoff went very hight and even at 60 Score in IIT-JAM, one could not get IIT- Indore.
But, the cut-offs are suppose to go down and this time it's IIT Kanpur conducting JAM, and the level of difficulty is also going to increase. So, don't just think of a number as benchmark and attempt. You will get the idea of the paper in the exam hall itself and attempt accordingly.
This year, you have decent chances of getting IIT Indore if you score better which is appropriate at 60.
So, All the best!
Hope it is helpful to you !
Thank-you !
Hello Nagamani
IIT Indore is one of the newer IITs and it does not have the quality of the older IITs. If you want an admission just for the sake of the stamp of an IIT then there is nothing wrong is getting admitted there but if you want quality education then go for IIT mumbai or delhi or if you do not care about the stamp at all then go for a better NIT or IIIT.
Hello Aspirant, the cutoffs change from year to year, the qualifying marks for chemistry in IIT-JAM is 27 marks. The closing rank would be around 320. You can check the cutoffs and have a clarity whether you are eligible or not at the official website http://jam.iitkgp.ac.in/jam2019/jam2019/doc/JAM-2019-Round1_Cutoff.pdf .
The initial round and final round cutoff's are almost similar.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello Shaifali!!
In 2019, the cut off for getting admission in IIT,Indore for Metallurgy and materials science was about 14.2k. (lowest) for girls (general). This year, there is hike in reservation quota for girls. Nevertheless, the AIR would not go beyond 15- 16k. So, be in top 15000 for having admission into IIT Indore.
On observation of this year marks vs rank list, it was about 113 marks for 15 k AIR rank. Do better. Good luck.
Hello dear aspirant.
If you are interested in government colleges for your B-tech then you have to appear in any of the two exams either IIT JEE mains or State level entrance exam. Almost all government college fall under this procedure . Only private colleges conduct separate exam for themselves.
Hope you get it.
