Hello aspirant,

Assuming you being from. open category it will difficult for you to get the top IITs.  The cut for mechanical for UR usually is most likely above 700.

You can, however, try IIT Dhanbad, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Jodhpur, IIT BHU.

IIT Dhanbad might offer Mechanical with a specialization in Manufacturing or Maintenance till the last round of counseling.

Now it is solely based on the previous cut-off trends and the actual results might vary.

There is a myriad of factors affecting these cut off every year like the difficulty level of the exam, the total number of candidates, seats available, and so on.

Hence, I would highly recommend using the GATE college predictor link below for a detailed analysis.

Hi,

To join IIT for CSE or any other branch, you need to essentially appear for the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. The package you will get will all determine on your capabilities and performance in the CSE Branch. To prepare for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, you need  to follow some tips:

  • Get a copy of the syllabus and know what you need to prepare. Knowing your syllabus is the utmost thing, because preparing in any vague direction will not be fruitful.
  • Stick to NCERTs first. Clear all your basic concepts from these books. Next move on to the reference books especially helpful in preparation of these exams.
  • Prepare note notes of topics you read. You can also make flashcards which can help in quick revision.
  • Don't cramp anything for these exams. One of the important aspect of this exam includes the clarity of the concepts.
  • Devise a time table and give equal time to all the three subjects asked in the exam.
  • Revision and attempting as many mock tests, sample papers helps a lot to get through the exam and practice.
  • Solve previous years papers to be familiar with the exam pattern.

Hi

There are many benefits of doing masters in astronomy from IIT indore as it is one of the best institutions, or you can say one of the Top ranked institutions according to nirf rankings. The amount of exposure one gets there is incredible to further continue there research ,faculties are so experienced so they guide one very well regarding how to approach in future.

Also astronomy is a subject which is quite interesting and there are limited job opportunities though one can get placements even in top institutions like ISRO and NASA but one requires lot of knowledge and research.

Some jobs you can pursue are

Research scientist

Astronomer

Space scientist

Astrophysicist

These are good jobs with good salaries as well

You can furthermore explore this subject and its opportunities from the link shared below

Hello Devansh, choosing the college totally depends on the aspirant. IIT Indore has a good competitive coding atmosphere. The highest package offered by IIT Indore was 50LPA in 2020 and 22.92LPA was average package. On the other hand, IIT Kanpur's highest package was 80LPA(nationally) and in crores(internationally). Its average package was 16.8LPA. Go with IIT Kanpur electrical only if computer science or coding seems difficult to you.  IIT Indore doesn't have a fully constructed campus. In the placement scenario, IIT Indore CSE is a better choice than IIT Kanpur electrical. If you do not want to go in coding then electrical engineering at IIT Kanpur is not a bad choice, it is 4th in the NIRF 2020 ranking of engineering colleges. Take your decision wisely.

All the best!

Hi Rajith,

Placements are very good in IITs. And doing an M.Tech can seriously land you in top notch companies with basically nice packages. Firstly, companies that generally visit are, Qualcomm, Intel, Cisco, Cummings India Ltd. These companies offer an average package of 13-15 lpa. There are some companies like Analog Devices, for some specific courses with average around 10-12 lpa. Some companies like Eaton, Tata Motors recruit with average packages around 8-10 lpa. Then there are software companies like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft etc. And then come electronic companies like finisar, Intel etc.

Dear aspirant,

First of all it is not about joining any academy . It is all about your dedication towards your goal and how much are you serious about your goal. You can choose any of the coaching institute . It doesn't matter at all. And also note that when you are preparing for jee forget that you are a ranker or a topper of your school.

hello aspirant,

As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc.based on previous year data you have tough chances to fetch seat in IITs.you need minimum of 495+ to fetch seat in IIT bombay for civil engineering.however you have  few chances to fetch seat in nits.

note that as each year cutoff changes so are your chances into colleges.for more information refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-cutoff

to get a personalised report on all choices you have for your rank refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/gate-college-predictor?icn=gate-college-predictor&ici=GATE-text-mapping

hope this helps,

thankyou.
