It depends upon the category as well. You should have mentioned your category. The cut off rank for General category in JNTU is around 1,000-8,000. The cut off rank for OBC category in JNTU is around 20,000-35,000. The cut off rank for SC/ST category in JNTU is around 35,000-88,000.

It depends upon the category as well. If you are General category candidate then 2800 rank is not enough. If you are SC/ST/OBC or other category, you may still have chances. There are only 25 seats for M.Tech in Digital Electronics & Communication Systems so cut offs are generally high.

Considering your rank , chances are very less to get a seat in JNTU as cutoff rank for mechanical engineering in JNTU lie between 1500-2500 . You can only get admission here if you belong to BC -A Girls or BC -E girls quota .
