You can choose between JNTU Kakinada or PES College of Engineering. I believe If you are only targeting placements and not any future degree or research prospects, you will find greater advantage at PES. PES has a huge locational advantage being located near IT Hubs at Bengaluru, which provide further impetus to training and placements. Most of the Top recruiters like SAP, Microsoft, Honeywell, Amazon, Intel, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS and so on, they regularly visit PES.

However if you are planning to go for a Masters degree in future or are seriously interested in Computer Science and its research aspects, I believe JNTU K being a State University has better curriculum, faculty and research facilities. Many students after Bachelors move to higher technical institutes abroad or in India like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore for a Masters or Doctoral Degree. This tells you about the rich peer culture and campus life.

Hi, since you have 267 rank in APPGCET so based on this rank you posses not more but some chances to get into the universities like JNTU. Since you are on the border or somehow a little below the border of getting into the University. As per the rank mentioned by you and based on the previous year ranks and admissions and your 338 rank in pgecet in oc female category there will be a chance to get as seat in the self finance category that is you have to pay the fee more than normal for self finance at university, Give choice for normal seats in govt category if you not get in general category then you may get choice in self financed.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada is a leading Engineering college of the state. Being among top colleges, the faculties are highly skilled and qualified. Coming to placements, it is not so impressive like other branches. However, most of the students are get placed in Software companies. Very less number of candidates get core companies. Jobs are also offered in government sector. Various government sectors recruit petroleum engineers such as Oil and Natural Gas Corporation limited, BPCL, Indian Oil Corporationn, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. Etc. The placement percentage is not so good. Around 60% to 65% students from petroleum engineering get placed every year.
