Eligibility Criteria

Certification Qualifying Details

Candidates will have to fulfil one criterion for attaining the certification in Certification Programme on Financial Accounting, which is sitting for the qualifying examination. Their marks in both course assessment and end-term proctored examination will be considered for the same. The candidates need to score a minimum of 30 % in course assessment and 70% in the end term proctored exam to get the certificate.

1: Do learners have to observe any code of conduct while learning on SWAYAM?

Learners have to keep the following in mind-

  • Comply with basic laws like abstaining from IP infringement.

  • Refrain from retaliating against any SWAYAM member.
  • Avoid injuring the person or property of any individual by acting maliciously.
  • Treat their peers and faculty fairly without engaging in harassment.
2: Are self-assessments included in the qualifying examination?

Self-assessments are only for evaluating a course taker's learning from the course, so they do not carry any weightage in the final examination. However, they are important as revision.

3: Can foreign students apply for a Certification Programme on Financial Accounting?

Students residing outside India can also enrol in this course and sit for the examination. But given the fact that the examination is conducted in offline/online mode only in India, such students will have to appear for the exam in India.

4: Is there a provision for re-examination?

An exam once missed cannot be retaken, candidates can also not apply again in the same course with the same ID, so they have to stay careful.

5: Which articles are forbidden in the examination centre?

Mobile phones, calculators, electronic diaries, electronic gadgets, watches, clipboards, log-tables and blank papers are forbidden.

6: When are the results for the exam released?

For the offline subjective exam, both result and the e-certificate is accessible in 5 weeks after the exam date while in case of the objective online exam, the above things can be checked within 2-3 weeks from the exam date.

7: Can a candidate get his certificate corrected in case of an error?

Yes, the candidate needs to send a screenshot of the error via mail to SWAYAM support team describing the error and within a stipulated time. If the error is found to be genuine and reported on time, another certificate will be registered at an additional cost of Rs. 200.

8: What is the required age limit to enroll for Certification Programme on Financial Accounting?

The learner must be at least 13 years or older to join this course.

9: How can candidates withdraw from the course?

There is no option as such for withdrawal. However, candidates can select "Unsubscribe from Announcement and Forum" on their Progress tab to stop receiving email notifications.

10: What to do if a learner has connectivity issues?

The videos can be downloaded or the transcript of the modules given right below each video can be downloaded, which can be done easily.
