Also, as per reviews Top recruiting companies for mechanical engineering are Ashok Leyland, caterpillar, TVS. Students generally get internships from Ashok Leyland, RE and TVS. As you have got 1260 in AIR[All India Rank] in stream 1 for sastra university. Sastra university is the one of the best college every student wants to opt. As you have ranked 1260 you definitely have chances of getting allotted in the Information and Communication Technology. Fiest try in the first counselling and if you are not been allotted then try for the second counselling for sastra university. You can definitely get a seat allotted.

see unless you paid the application form, your candidature would not be accepted and you application would be considered as rejected. however since jee main april session exam has yet to conduct you may wait for again the admission opening for sastra. however mean while also try for others colleges and take part in counselling process.

As your TN rank is 3077 for sastra university. The chances is getting allotted is very less because there are so many students who want to opt sastra university and your rank through TN rank is 3077 so there are very less chances. You can try for 2nd and 3rd counselling at the time of counselling.

Sastra university, Thanjavur is one of the best universities in Tamilnadu. It takes students solely based on merit. No donation seats are available. The competition is heavy to get into the University.Placements are good at sastra thanjavur. Infrastructure is excellent at sastra thanjavur. It is very strict. Placements are ultimate at sastra. It is definite that you will get placed atleast in 1-2 or maybe more if you have above average intelligence. Temple, Holistic culture and feeding cows, Vedas and sanskrit reminisce our culture and make us feel to go back to our roots

Amrita University:

The scenic beauty is unmatchable. The climate is simply amazing. The library is really huge. You can also find various rare books here. Ragging is very rare and the repercussions are.. well.. extremely serious. Curriculum in the first year is not sp good. In the first sem there is not one core subject(CSE).

As you have ranked 6000 in stream 2 for sastra university you have very less chances of getting in to the branch of Information Technology. At the counselling time you have to apply for 2nd and 3rd counselling and even though the branch you want to opt is difficult to get allotted a seat. You may try for the branches like Civil engineering,Mechanical engineering and Electrical and Electronical engineering.

As VIT Amravati is newly established college and Sastra is very much old and established one that's why Sastra has good facilities with its expereince . Further Sastra has been ranked among the top engineering colleges in India as it has good infrastructure, placements and faculty. As you have ranked 3500 in stream 1 for sastra university you have the chances of getting allotted in the branches like civil,mechanical and electronics and electrical engineering. But you can try mostly in the stream 1. And as you have ranked 6000 in the stream 2 you have very less chances of getting allotted in the sastra university in any of the branches.
