YES, You are eligible for SASTRA university as your academic performance meets eligibility criteria of SASTRA university. They allot 30% of seats based on +2 marks, and also you have secured well, so in this category you get admission. With JEE marks, there will be little chance.

You will get ECE or CSE branch easily.

Dear aspirant,

JEE Main 2019 and normalized 10+2 scores will be taken together for admission under stream 1
The scores of JEE Main will carry 25% weightage and 10+2 scores will carry 75% weightage.
The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited for admission on the basis of the rank list.
70% of seats will be filled under stream 1.
Stream 2:
Candidates will be considered for admission based on their normalised aggregate 10+2 or any equivalent exam scores.
30% of seats will be filled under stream 2.
By this we can say that If you will get good JEE main rank then only you'll be eligible to enter into Sastra.
All the best.

According to your percentile in JEE Mains, it is not very likely that you will secure admission into Sastra University for Computer Science Engineering. But you may try other branches or other colleges.

Hi,

On the basis of previous year trends, you may get CSE/IT and  would get ECE if you are from Trichy/Thanjavur/TN as a certain portion of seats are reserved for them.

If you come from outside the state, then you might not be getting the above mentioned branches.

Hello Tarun
Yes you can get into the sastra university but my suggestion please try for nit or iiit so that with your percentile you may get iiit
Best of luck

I got 9.53 in 10+2 and 89 percentile in jee mains can I get seat in sastra university

This year it is slightly different …. but sastra continuing taking admissions based on same pattern which they followed before… Right now student who got ~97% was appealing with rank of 27-28k… So it is better to maintain minimum >92 percentile… that helps to get admissions in top branches….but in the case of computer science seat , student atleast maintain 97-99 percentile and better +2 gpa…

Hello Rohith,

You should be able to get admission in SASTRA with the score that you have got both in JEE Mains and in Telangana intermediate board.

JEE Mains is an annual exam that is conducted by the National Testing Agency and the CBSE for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other institutes. It also serves as the first stage for admission to IITs through JEE Advanced.

EWS is a new category that has been created by the MHRD for economically weaker sections. 10% seats will be reserved for those candidates whose annual family income is less than INR 8 lakh per annum.

College Infrastructure

My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean

it is good feel to write review for helping juniors
