Hello Guru,
Congratulations for a good result in both JEE and boards. For getting CSE in SASTRA university one must have a very good rank there is no particular cutoffs for admission in sastra university it totally depends on the seat availability, number of students applied and other factors.
Admission is SASTRA is given on the basis of 2 stream. According to stream 1 : JEE main+ boards marks( 70% seats) and stream 2: only board exam marks( 30% seats) .
For getting CSE based on boards results it should be more than 95% and as concern with stream 1 you are 50% chances of getting CSE in SASTRA. It is just a probability and not an exact percentage as no one can tell the exact ratio. It varies year to year and changes according to the various factors.
So taking part in councilling will only let you know if you can get CSE or not.
Hope this helps.
If any queries please feel free to ask.
All the best!!
Regards.
Hello aspirant
First of all there is no specific cut-off marks for getting admission in sastra university. Your 12th marks and jee marks will decide your seat in sastra university. The merit is made based on 25% weightage of JEEmarks And 75% of your class 12th marks. So as you have calculated then your marks are good and their are some chances that you get stream 1 in good branches.

Hi there.
The eligibility for Sastra University is calculated by taking 75% from Board marks added to 25% of JEE main marks. Any marks below 40 in JEE Main is not accepted. Your combined score will be placed in a ranking system by the university. Stream 1 is allocated 70% to JEE mains marks whereas Stream 2 is allocated 30% to +2 marks. With a score of 180 in JEE main 2019, you have a chance to secure a seat.
Hello D.S. Avinash!
There is no standard cut off for admissions in SASTRA. It differs from year to year based upon the competition. But, if we see the reports of previous years, the cut off might be around the rank 150 in stream 2 and it might be around the rank 400 in stream 1. However it's not the standard cutoff. It varies from year to year based upon many factors.
If you apply for the first stream mean to say you apply for JEE M marks + Boards category ;then the probbale rank list according to branch :
CSE -below 650;
ECE -below 800;
EEE&Mech-below 1100;
ICT-below 1300;
Others below 2100; at max.
HOpe this will help.Best of luck.For any query comment below.
Hello ; There is no particular cutoff in sastra university .It solely depends on your rank in sastra's merit list .Your marks/rank should be good enough that is better than all other applicants so that you can get admission.The admission is based on two ways :
1.Stream 1: JEE M marks + Board exam marks[70% seats]
2.Stream 2: Only Board exam marks [30% seats]
ALL THE BEST !!!!!
I really like this colleges based on placement based on my optionion you can join our college. Little bit strict but that’s Okk. In our college infrastructure is better I’m currently doing my Bsc degree in sastra university
My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
laboratories for bio tech and other related departments are very good and high tech here. Hostels are non ac full vegetarian, managable. wifi is 24/7 available. the environment is good for studying here.
