Hello Sumanth,

Sastra University does not have any cutoff for admission. Sastra university uses a self-made equation for determining a score of the student and based on the score the admission process is done.

The equation is ((12th percentage x 0.75) + (Marks obtained in JEE-Main x 0.25)), The Maximum

what the number of seats in each branch wise in B.tech in Sastra university?

For individual courses the number of seats are different.

240-250 mechanical.

180-190 civil, it, ECE, EEE.

60 students in mechatronics.

Approximately 100 -120 are there in chemical, biotech. .etc

For each class 60 students.

Yeah with this academic score he will gonna get a seat in the SASTRA University , since his percentage in class 12th is good enough but unfortunately he missed the cuttoff range in the JEE mains entrance exam if he lies under the General Category but anyways first

sastra is deemed university and one of the prominent university in india. however it has two types of counselling , on first method jee main and ipe score bioth are evaluated. 705 of seats fills by first method. and on second method only ipe score is evaluated. however

The scores of JEE Main will carry 25% weightage and 10+2 scores will carry 75% weightage.
The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited
