Without being verbose and grandiloquent, I will simply accentuate on the main points, which I believe is important to give a crystal clear answers to the questions. Although there are a variety of questions, I will try to cover as much holistic view as possible, hence covering all important points that are vital for undergraduate applicants. 1) Annual Fees- (the most important point) It's Rs.35000/- per annum. Shocked! Yep, it's true. The annual fee is Rs 35,000 (INR) i.e. THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND ONLY... So, by simple calculation, one can complete his 4-YEAR B.TECH in 35,000 * 4 = Rs.1,40,000 (one lakh forty thousand only). No extra single penny is charged beyond this. So, the Return on Investment (ROI) is very cool.. isn't it ? If you get placed at a minimal annual package of 3 lacs, you are getting a good return. P.s.- Scholarships- A few students belonging to EWS, ST, SC, OBC get some scholarship, subject to terms and conditions. 2) Placement and Alumni Structure- (Second most important criterion) As far as the placements are concerned, it's really good . Almost, all of my batchmates got placed in companies like TCS, Ernst & Young, HP, Unisys Corp., Wipro, AZCOM, Synopsis etc. The average package range goes from Rs 3,35,000 (i.e Three lacs thirty-five thousand per annum) and above. It's quite good for a fresher. If you have done a lot of computer skills courses then you are surely going to grab a package of 5 lacs and even more. Moreover, Alumni Structure plays the best role in the growth of professional career. So, Alumni structure and connectivity for any kind of help and guidance is very good. Even the 5 years old batch (super-seniors, whom you have not even seen by face) is ever ready to help you in the best way they can. You have to just get the link to them via and they are ON. To highlight a few, some did their MS from abroad, some did MBA from premier institutes of India, a few are involved in their own start-up. So, all in all, it's again a thumb up. 3) Academics- The college has good faculty members. A few might appear non-helping creatures but fortunately, most of the faculty and staff is helping. I won't say that labs are as good as IITs but yes it's better as compared to other private and govt.colleges or say at par with few other reputed top institute like dtu, nsit etc. Being a government college, you are the master of your own fate.No one is going foster you to take classes. It might appear a bad for parents, but it's actually cool on part of we guys. I will justify it by 2 comments- First, You will learn to judge between profits and loss, to take the lecture or to spend an hour in canteen gossiping with your friends or playing football. Second, graduation is the time to enjoy and live life. 4) Extra- Academic, Student Council, Cultural Council, IEEE, and Technical Council Unlike various other colleges where you have to become flattery to be the president or secretary of any society, in Ambedkar college, it depends entirely and entirely on your talent and skills. NO PARTY POLITICS, No FLATTERING REQUIRED, NO ELECTION, ONLY AND ONLY TALENT AND SKILL. and I mean it. The best part of the college is that a simple coordinator can rise to Core Team member of the fest, or can become the president of any society, the only condition is you have to be better than others. This gives a fair opportunity to everyone to hone leadership skills or talent in the respective field. You can even open your own society after getting official permission. Activities- Cultural Council, Technical Council, IEEE-AIT, Student Council, Sports Council, College Festivals, Eco-club and a lot more. 5) AM I FREE TO DO WHAT I WANT? If it is legitimate, legal and positive, then it's a big yes. If it's something wrong, then it's a big nooo. 6) Are classes really air-conditioned? and What else catchy? Yep, The campus has 2 lifts. Classes are air conditioned (except few),Every floor has neat and hygienic Washrooms, and the most important- AUDITORIUM and LIBRARY are also centrally air conditioned. So, its really good to spend time there. All the LABS, Computer labs etc are also centrally air conditioned. At our time we have LAN ports in classrooms with a speed of 5mbps and more :p (good for downloading) . There are a lot of extra rooms, which remains empty so you can utilize them as you want. The security guards are always on campus. There is separate student and faculty parking area etc. 7) Faculties- Almost all faculties are just expert in their field with a good professional and research experience. They have good industry links. 8) There are many awards and laurels won by the college at the national level in all fields.

College faculty is average but college building is not so good ,not many places to hangout there. Also, the placement is average with an average package around 3lpa.Also, the coding culture is not so good.Labs are also average.Library and book bank has an ample number of the book to cater all the students.Fees are also affordable as it is a government college

Good college with lack of practical exposure

Batch of Jan. 1, 2016 | B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
Placement is average. Infrastructure is good , less number of students. Some topper school students so intellect level of students are also high. As it is a govt clg so faculty is atleast PhD or MTech and they are upsc clear which means they have knowledge but it's up to us how much we are grabbing from them. No problem of attendance in college.

The dramatic life of AIACTR- You just need to pronounce it!!

Just hold your breath and stand in front of AIACTR, Geeta Colony, Delhi.Yu will definitely like this not so old and colourful building. The lush green college has amazing parking facilities, a very big basketball ground, gym, AC classrooms, superb labs, and equipment are something every engineering student wants in his 4 years of college life. Some of the Ph.D. holder faculties are too good and are quite approachable .Larger than life fests and events are actually icing on the cake . But positives can't exist without negatives. Nonavailability of hostel could be a big low for those who are coming from outstations. More industry experts should be called for regular sessions that students should understand the market trends. In fact, faculties with rich industrial exposure could be a good option to go for Placement committee should pre-plan their processes well in advance so that they do not lose out some potential recruiters. But yes !! The college is quite inexpensive and gives good ROI for those who can’t afford many fees. I would definitely recommend this college to my juniors considering some of its positive outweigh its negatives.

A COLLEGE THAT IS VALUE FOR MONEY

Posted on 18 Jul' 16 by Aishwarya Kumar

It is a really good option in IPU if you do not get a seat in USICT. The following points will help you understand this fact: 1.The placements in all IPU colleges are similar as most of the visiting companies belong to IT sector with a package being 3-4 LPA. The talented students manage to get a package of 6 LPA + in AIACTR too and most of the students get placed here, so placements are similar to most of the colleges in IPU. 2. The faculty is good, recruited through UPSC and most of them may help you if you require any help regarding academics. 3.You have a lot of freedom, you are not forced to attend all the classes, there is no unnecessary pressure from college, so you have a lot of time to work on your skills and prepare for higher studies too. 4.The annual fee of 35K makes it a very economical option. 5.If you are willing to participate in any Tech fest, seniors are enthusiastic and will guide you to make new projects, AIACTR is a regular participant in NIOT, ROBOCON, GRIDTECH. 6.The labs are good, infrastructure is modern, few types of equipment available here are not even present in IIT Delhi. So considering all these points AIACTR is a good college. 7.The only drawback is lack of hostel, which can be attributed to the fact that 85 percent of students are from Delhi itself,However, you can easily find affordable accommodation near the College,as most of the Outsiders live there

Engineering with loads of fun

In my last two years, I have noticed a few goods and bads in my college. I would like to share them with you… 1) well-equipped labs and facilities with good infrastructure. 2) Faculties have a good knowledge of their subject but there are a few who are not regular to the classes, but it's only one or two. 3) College placement is also at the par, but it's always known that placement depends on your skills, not on the college. 4) College life gets no better than this, if you have hot friends, you'll surely have fun. There's a full-fledged playing ground to play any sport you like. But canteen is a little downside. 5)There's no Hostel in the college and the location of the college is also a downside.

Life at AIACTR has been pretty good. The faculty is well qualified, classes are held regularly. Infrastructure is really nice, smart classes are available and all the modern teaching equipment. The college is centrally air conditioned. There is an E-library available too for the benefit of students. The children and teachers and friendly and warm. AIACTR provides a good learning atmosphere and also a platform for honing other co-curricular skills.

The infrastructure of the college is amazing. Easy transportation to the college. Highly qualified faculty. The college frequently organizes events. A strong cultural society lets students to show their talents not associated with engineering. Library has got books of many foreign authors prescribed in our course. Backdrops: poor canteen and hostel facility is not available. Though many pgs are available in the area

The usp of this college is that it is a govt. College so its fee is minimal.the faculty here is flooded with knowledge each being expertise in their own area and is very supportive.the infrastructure may be not soo good but the labs are very well equipped with latest machines and focuses on practical training rather than theoretical.

Campus looks good from outside but it has not been maintained properly. Most of the subjects are taught by guest faculty which leads to irregular time table. College canteen is in a very bad condition. The things available to eat are- samosa, patties , chips and a very few other items if you are lucky. college administration is least interested in organizing fest which is completely managed by students with their own efforts. Their is no place to hang out near the college. Nearest mall is V3S mall. No hostel accommodation available. Few positive things about the college are - supportive seniors, decent crowd, No ragging, decent lab facilities and low fees. Overall a good option if you are not getting any other good government college.

Ambedkar institute- soon go on a be good

Posted on 22 May' 15 by Vivek Rai
"My college is situated in Geeta colony and it is spread onto an area of 8.5 acres many of the parents and students will say that it is an small college but for only 2 courses in B.Tech and 4 courses in M.Tech the infrastructure is quite good. There is a big ground for football and cricket, 2 volleyball court and 1 basketball court and for table tennis there is ESS block in our college and on every floor of our college a tut room is situated having high speed internet connectivity.it is also a fully centerised AC campus. Canteen is quite a disappointment.library in our college is one of the best thing, fully air-conditioned and all books related to our syallabus is available here.our college also have a book bank so at the start of every semester a student can get all the books related to the syllabus talking about placements, TCS and Accenture took the maximum number of students this year, in all ambedkar is quite a good college."
