Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi (ASAS Kochi) is constituent college was started in the year 2008. Situated in Edappally North, Kochi, Kerala state the institute provides a broad scope of programmes in its areas of specialisation. ASAS Kochi has a faculty team of 92 members and offers 26 programmes under 15 degrees. The institute earned reputation for having broad curriculum with specialisations as Mathematics, Physics, Commerce, Visual Media, English Literature, Computer Applications etc.

Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Kochi has well equipped modern facilities to ensure that the students receive and enjoy the best learning. Campus facilities include a library with ample happy stocks of books, journals, and magazines of international editions as well as a separate reading room for visual media studies. The college boasts of good IT equipments that include, Over 400 desk tops that are connected over the fast Ethernet, campus wide wireless. Students described different accesses to a multiple dedicated leased line in addition to internet bandwidth of 280 Mbps. For the female students, the college have an Ashram hostel where students can live comfortably and feel safe.

The institute has a vast teaching portfolio of 26 courses offered at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, Integrated, and Doctoral levels. These comprise both full time and integrated courses in Commerce, Visual Media, Mathematics, Physics, English, Computer Applications and many others. The college also has specialised programmes that include B.Des Communications Design (Hons) and M.Sc Applied Statistics and Data Analytics, which fulfill current market needs.

The admission criteria of ASAS Kochi is different for every programme it offers. Some of the courses have merit quota where students are admitted according to the scores from the entrance test conducted at the national level and so on while some courses have interview, marks from the qualifying examination etc. For example, B.Sc M.Sc Physics Integrated has cut-off of JEE-Main, IISER admission test if done or Amrita Entrance examination. Admission criteria in B.Com Finance and IT Hons include interview marks and plus two scores. The college also possesses its own aptitude test for some of the programmes for instance the Amrita Entrance Test for MCA courses.
