ANIIMS Port Blair Facilities

Andaman And Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences, Port Blair offers well-structured infrastructure on campus for students, staff and faculty members. The Andaman and Nicobar Medical College facilities include separate accommodations for boys and girls, a library with a huge collection of books, magazines, journals and many others.

ANIIMS has laboratories for each department, sports which include indoor and outdoor games, a cafeteria that serves hygienic food for students on campus, and many other facilities. The ANIIMS Port Blair facilities include a medical/hospital on campus which provides first aid assistance for students and employees on the campus. ANIIMS facilities are discussed in detail below.

Boys Hostel
The institute provides a separate boys' hostel on campus. The ANIIMS Port Blair hostel facilities include a mess facility, library, sports, and many others. The institute provides hostel facilities to the students for their safe and secure accommodation.
Girls Hostel

Medical/Hospital
GB Pant Hospital located in the South Andaman district serves as a teaching hospital for ANIIMS students. The AIIMS Port Blair facilities include medical facilities for its students and staff members on campus. The medical facilities are available all the time. The institute provides doctor assistance for students, staff and faculty in case of an emergency.
Library
The Central Library of Andaman and Nicobar Medical College is a fully air-conditioned two-story building that offers reading facilities, computers, internet, Wi-Fi, scanning, printing, and photocopying services. It subscribes to Indian and International Journals and has a collection of medical books. Newspapers and magazines are also available at the ANIIMS campus.
Sports
Andaman Medical College has a sports complex that is large and spacious. The AIIMS Port Blair sports facilities include badminton, cricket, and many others.
I.T Infrastructure
The AIIMS Port Blair facilities include a computer facility provided by the Central Library only for educational use. Around 25 Desktop Computers with internet connection are available in the computer and medlar room for students, faculty and staff of the Andaman Medical College. Only registered members of the Central Library are authorised to use the computers, internet facility or to access e-resources.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria serves hygienic and healthy food for students. ANIIMS facilities include a well-structured mess facility on campus. The cafeteria at Andaman Nicobar Medical College is working on a no-profit and no-loss basis. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with snacks, soft beverages and ice-creams.
Auditorium
Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital (GBPH), a teaching hospital of ANIIMS, has an auditorium that serves as a lecture theatre for clinical discussions and presentations, as well as hosting seminars and workshops.

If you are looking for any college the first time you should look for is its Course Circullum, Placement Percentage and college Reputation and NIRF Rank. Most of the college now have Girls Quota for motivating Girls and providing them a better education, so don't Worry much about other state Girl Candidates. If you feel that the college is good enough for admission, then you must apply for it.
