Assumption College, Kottayam Fees 2026

I am a 2021-24 batch B.Com Computer Application student. Since the College is 'autonomous', the study material is made by teachers based on relevant topics and material that will be approved by the MG University. The teachers usually complete the syllabus on time. The commerce department is always active, hosting various Seminars and Visits. The department hosts its own Fest and paper presentation competition, which helps student boost their confidence and helps them gain more knowledge on their subject.

Assumption College is one of the oldest colleges in Kerala. In 2024, the College will mark its 75th year of establishment. Speaking about infrastructure, the whole College has maintained its old and beautiful aspect. It has mainly one main auditorium inside the campus which fits the whole college. It has another hall named 'William Hall', which is according to the new standards. There are sufficient Seminar Halls. Even though the college maintains its ancient beauty, there are new blocks and Office rooms which are well built. The college has enough classrooms, staff rooms, and washroom facilities for all the students. The Science stream has its labs, and there is also a museum for History Students. There's also a cafeteria for both students and teachers.

The students are so good and approachable. Various programs like short film fest, arts day, etc, are celebrated in our college. Most programs are inaugurated by film actors. The College is fun, especially on 'Mission Day', where all department competes by setting up stalls or games or DJs and raise funds so as to help a family in need. The NSS, NCC are very active, as are other clubs like the Films Club.

The college has its placement cell, which includes a placement officer and student coordinators from various departments. Various companies like Accenture, Sutherland, TCS, and many more come for placement drives. I got placed at Accenture and Sutherland. Our College encourages all students to register for various placement drives and get selected. Most of these companies offer 20-30K for a UG graduate. The college did offer coaching for the aptitude test, so we could get placed.

I completed my Bachelor's in zoology and the quality of academics is really very good. They used to teach students in a different manner like through practicals. Curriculum is also updated and it makes the students aware of the subject

Our college has excellent infrastructure facilities all the classrooms are furnished with adequate desks and benches also projector facilities are also available in some classes. There is sports ground in our college and living space is also good

There is no placement opportunities to the Bsc students. Even though some of the self financing departments in our college provides placement support to its students. But the package offered by the companies are really very low

I completed my Bsc Zoology and the curriculum is really updated with relevant facts and developments in the field of zoology. Quality of teaching is somehow good, even though no one is going to force you to study if you want to study then you have to study.

College is well established with modern infrastructure facilities and equipments. Campus is lush and green. Library and laboratory facilities are literally good. Living spaces are clean and the food provided in cafeteria is hygienic and cost effective.

Quality of our college placements is average, only small percentage of the students gets jobs through the college placements and other will have to find out jobs for themselves. Selected candidates only gets small amount as their salary so none of us will depends college for placements
