General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-and a half-year (includes six-months of mandatory internship) full-time diploma program offered by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).


Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the West Bengal GNM Nursing program have been established by the conducting body in conjunction with the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Here are the key criteria:

Candidates must have completed Class 12 from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any recognized Council/Board

No upper age limit

Candidates should be Indian nationals

They must be permanent residents of the state of West Bengal.

Proficiency in the Bengali or Nepali language is essential. Candidates should be able to read, write, and speak in either of these languages

Students with a background in Vocational Agriculture or Vocational Home Science are also eligible to apply.
