BA History Hons - Batch of 2024-01-01

Classes are taken strictly as per schedule. Teachers are helpful and so are the students. Seniors to juniors bonding is encouraged.
Curriculums are well updated and it itself gives us a good idea about the subject we are studying...
College Infra
Spacious Classrooms and clean campus. Well equipped Laboratories, Facilities and clean benches. Canteen serves cheap but hygienic and tasty food. The washrooms are cleaned every day and thus basic cleanliness is maintained.
Campus Life
Supportive faculty and helpful students. Departments are encouraged to hold various fests and programmes on various occasions.
Placements
Placements are offered in other departments (especially science and commerce). The Arts fields requires higher education for Placements and thus, no Placements are offered as such. Placements in other departments are provided actively.
Value For Money
Tuition fees are quite cheap (1500 without labs and 2500 with labs). It is indeed worth the money.

BA Psychology Hons - Batch of 2027-01-01
Academics
I truly believe choosing Bachelor of Psychology Honours here was the right decision because of the amazing teachers. I have learned a huge amount from the professors in my department. They are all exceptional, they know a lot, and they really care that we understand the subjects well.
College Infra
I think the campus architecture is absolutely beautiful and holds so much history, which is why I love studying here. However, I must say honestly that the overall facilities feel a bit dated, which is why I gave it three stars. The main library is definitely a strong point because I can find all the resources I need for my courses easily. For my Psychology Honours course, I wish we had more modern and well-equipped laboratory rooms for practical work.
Campus Life
I have to say that my experience with campus life has been very lively and something I will definitely remember. I really like that this is an all-women's college, which creates a supportive, safe, and easy environment for me to take part in everything. I am active in some groups and I think the energy of my friends is contagious, especially when we have the annual festivals and cultural programmes.I did not give it five stars only because I wish there were more types of activities or more frequent events with other colleges.
Placements
To be completely honest, I do not think placement is the best feature here for my Bachelor of Arts Honours course. I have noticed over the three years that the college mainly prepares us to study further, like doing a Master's or research, instead of finding a corporate job right away. I know a few general companies visit the campus for basic jobs.
Value For Money
I feel I am getting an absolutely fantastic deal for the very small amount of money I pay for college fees. When I think about the strong teaching I get, the long history of the institution, and the good reputation of the college, the cost is extremely low.

B.Sc Botany Hons - Batch of 2027-01-01
Academics
Bethune College, Kolkata, represents a rich academic legacy—being the first women’s college in Asia. Bethune College offers a prestigious, well‑accredited environment with strong faculty, a diverse curriculum and healthy research backing.
College Infra
Bethune College’s infrastructure strikes a commendable balance between heritage aesthetics and modern academic functionality, enhancing both learning and comfort.Safety and student amenities are priorities: the college is monitored by CCTV, has fire extinguishers in all labs and buildings, wheelchair ramps, ladies’ hostel. It has two distinct libraries for Arts and Science disciplines.
Campus Life
Bethune offers a rich, balanced campus life blending heritage ambiance, adequate academic amenities, and vibrant cultural engagement. Its women‑centric environment, coupled with safe spaces and community solidarity, makes it popular—though improvements in restroom upkeep and lab maintenance could enhance student comfort even more.
Placements
Though internships are provided to the students no companies visit the college. There's limited on-campus placement activity, indicating the potential need for proactive internship searches, especially in non-IT disciplines. Science honours (like Zoology, Botany) see fewer placement offers and a stronger trend toward higher studies or research .
Value For Money
For those seeking a cost-effective, high-quality education in a heritage institution, Bethune College offers outstanding value—combining minimal financial burden with robust academic services, supportive faculty, and a vibrant campus experience
